Ray - I have a Skyglas Vertigo. I am going to include a picture of it here. The picture I am showing, is for sale, $100.00 on RCU.
Location is about 150 miles from me, could be a good buy. I would have to add in about $80.00 for gas to travel. Looks like someone chopped the nose up, unless there is a cowl piece separated. The Vertigo I have, has a diamond airfoil stab, the one pictured does not, unless modified.
Thanks for the reply,
Crank

Thanks for getting me the name of this bird. Talk about the tail section. What about "Enpennage" ? Spelled right? I usually say fin and rudder.
If you really want to get into "fins", fly on AirBus. They super glue the fin's on their planes. FLY BOEING.

Hey Crank:
I was in NYC the day that 300 went down and was watching the news from a customer in Brooklyn when they showed the first pictures. The plane was destroyed and there was a nice shiney fin being pulled out of the bay in 1 piece. I don't think Airbus used enough "Kicker".
When I was a kid I had a Midwest Cardinal Squire with Fox 78 and had cracked the fin in a bad landing into the weeds. I mixed up some "Five Minute Epoxy" and glued it back on. About 6 minutes later I was running up the engine and my flying buddy Sandy asked " are you sure that glue is dry"? Of course was my answer, "it's five minute epoxy and it's now 8 minutes". Off we went and at the top of a big loop I found out Sandy had a good point. Somewhere I still have that shiney fin and the rest of the plane was destroyed.
If it's not Boeing I'm not going.
Peace

Hey Marko - I got a good laugh about the 8 minute epoxy. Airbus, tanker contract. Gates did the right thing, fired the top brass.
Those (our) politician's, all of them, some of them retire, then go to work for a foreign government, lining their pockets more. All these deals are done after the grandstanding in the day hours. The Air Force general's giving our money to AirBus, those guys over there don't even like us. They were probably still laughing over Boeing getting shot down. Our politician's have given everything away. The Chinese already have all the plans for the Virginia class submarines, our missle guidance systems, etc. They probably buy it all at Wal-Mart. We have been sold out.
I am getting too political here, back to the shop.

Ray - We have good friends in Tipperary Town, do you know where that is ? Going to get over there some day. They have a winter home here in south Florida. A lot of folks don't know, but the Irish did a lot more to settle and build our country then other's.

Hello Ray:
I was in Belfast in the mid nineties putting in a laser at Harland & Wolfe and the guys there said to never discuss religion or politics. I agree with those guys totally. But 5 minute epoxy is a pretty save discussion, I mean how "sticky" of a situation can a discussion of epoxy get someone into.
When in doubt "Blame the Pilot".

Crank, all I know about Tipperary is that it's a long way to. Hope you visit soon and perhaps even travel in the A380. I believe they are now using Zap for the non-moving (stationery) vertical stabiliser.

If it was like the greenish blue color that is the beastie that I was working on. I believe that the orange unit is an Amada or Bystronic unit. It was a nice trip and Belfast is a very pleasent area to stay in. We also stayed in Bangor at O'Hara's Royal when I was at Lasercut Services which is also in the H&W complex. The trip up to Bushmills was a good time also.
Always like the ride on Air Lingus when they used those old 747's. Nice trip across the north atlantic on the big bird. My wife and I intend to get to Ireland within the next year and we will give you fair warning when we are going to be in Belfast like to meet you. You are a wealth of good information for us pattern guys.
Glad to hear that Airbus is using Zap. Good glue and kicker but I would think they would use CG Jet, the name fits better.
Take Care
