Wagner, thank's. Flap set-up picture's would be appreciated. Lot of us are following along here. When you first talked about the speed subject with the P-8, I was skeptical. Your dedication here is appreciated, especially with the Phoenix serie's.

How thick is the rudder at the hinge line? It looks huge!

Also, anyone know if there is a sort of standard for percentage area of the wing to cut F3A style barn door ailerons?

I was wondering about the aerodynamic effect of having a split hinge line between ailerons and flaps as drawn on your wing without any fixed airfoil in between. I realize this is done on full scale aircraft but was thinking about whether it might introduce turbulence at that point in the airfoil considering the speeds you plan to push this puppy at!

Just curious.

David.

Man, your fast . Looking at that box of 20 Mule Team Borax, it has been a while since I have seen one of those. Is it still made ? There was a TV show, back in the mid 50's, called, Death Valley Day's. When the commercial came on, it showed some Conestaga wagon's in Death Valley. Then, "The Old Ranger", would come on. He would say, "This is the Old Ranger talkin', get yourself a box of 20 Mule Team".

I guess you guy's are wondering what in the hell he is talking about. Keep it up, look's good. Here are a couple of paint job's, take a look at Tom Scott's P-5, flying. The other, a P-8 from out west.

Devin,

nice progress!

I hope you'll have 4 good screws on that wing holding her in place - I can see the paint wanting to peel off at the speed it will be moving out!

Single center mounted flap servo on torque rods?

How many watts in that heli 600 motor? What prop do you have in mind? Oversquare? Looks like at least a 10" pitch.

By the way, isn't that spinner a tad too heavy? It looks like it might make the motor work harder. I'd consider one of them e-lightened tru-turns.

David.
