If you went to grade school with me you will know who I am.
To this day if someone calls me RORO I knew them from that time zone.
There were about 5 of us that our first and last names began with the same letter, RORO, TOTO, SOSO JOJO, etc....
BUT for some reason mine has been the only one that stuck and remains.

LOL, what a great thread, one of the better ones in recent times.
20 years ago in a summer school far far away....................
I just got my drivers licence and my first car, and I was trying to come up with vanity plate for my car, during summer school at Belaire High School. And I wonder why I kept having to go to summer school
My name is Tony. The final 3 came to, FKNAWSM, TONEZZ and Y-NOT.
I show them to this girl sitting next to me, she did not get the 1st one (did you?), Tony's (she said the ZZ's wrong) and she said, "Why Not?" as she turned to me and lowered her head and said it again, in this kinda sexy voise "Why Not...........huh?" With a little rise on her eyebrow. We went to lunch and I drove her home a few times And she did not get it was my name backwards until a few days later.
Got the plate Y-NOT. Recently applied for YNOT RC, however the State of Texas thought it read Why Not Race. So YNOT 3D should be showing up any day now.
Y-NOT is also my AMA number. You can apply for vanity AMA numbers for and additional 10 bucks a year. It also ensures that I get called back to registration at EVERY event I ever enter, becasue someone catchs YNOT as the AMA number and "Thats not a AMA number"

Rocks are my life mon. I am a stone mason so it just seemed to fit, that and when I go to see a customer I hear, honey the rockman is here. I changed the man to mon just for the heck of it. I did see another guy at another time and space going as rokman, that's not me.

When I'm not working I spend a lot of time at Sepulvada Basin. There is also a guy there that used to live in his car (mostly at the Basin) and it is sort of in honor of him. He is and has been there forever.

Mine came from a few years in the U.S.A.F. loading Aim-9's, AGM-65's, MK-82 500 lb'ers, Mk-84 1000 lb'rs, GBU-58's, chaff, flares, 20mm rounds and a few other secrets that the F-16 Falcon had up it's sleeve.

Because of my name people have been calling me Cajun for a long time. Actually I am a Yank, having been born just down the road from Muncie In. I did live in SW Louisiana for five years and loved the people and area, so the label just stuck.
I also occasionally go by "Politically Incorrect" and "Agitator" and those labels were put on me by others also,,,,,,,,,,,,and they just stuck as I wear them as badges of honor.

I got the nickname Augie in school. I don't really remamber why but from the best of my recollection, it had something to do with that cartoon dog?
I added the p38 because there were already augies in the system.

Mine is from racquetball.
I dive a lot, or used to anyway, now only in tournaments
Splat is a kill shot used in racquetball.
Sorry the origination is not from a bad nightmare at the field.

My nickname is related to my old flying site. We had nesting eagles nearby, and nearly every morning and evening they would soar over the flying field, hunting for mice or rabbits. I got in the habit of looking out for the eagles (don't want to mid-air with our national symbol), hence the name Eaglewatch.

9 planes flying. Only 2 do not have unlimited vertical. Those are the Solo Sport that I use for instruction and my Sea Cruiser II flying boat. I guess with a little imagination in the power Dept. those could be straightup too, but they don't need to be. Since everyone at my field is still circle turners, having unlimited vertical is still pretty cool here....

my nickname is from a name of a randomly chosen (and quite strange) character in a book written by Douglas Adams. And it's delibaretly misspelled, just to make sure i can register for the first time anywhere over the net. Not very interesting, huh?
..you asked for it

My nickname has been with me for a few years now since I have a tendency to have a fairly substantial goatee (or van dyke to the more follicly knowledgable). Cheesy, but so am I.

I picked mine in the late nineties when I started playing Air Warriors on AOL. I wanted Widgeon but I was limited to 6 digits. I still use it in [link=http://www.wwiionline.com]WWIIOnline[/link] where I fly the virtual 109 and 110, so if anybody here plays that online game look me up.
