aajanz: sorry for this delay, having serious issues heart and results from my back ordeal. Haven’t done a thing sense April the 8th. Kinda given up until I can get better. Took a lot out of me! AJ.

AJSun,

Really sorry to hear of the health issues and delays in your many plane projects. Mine are also delayed since March when my brother died in OH, and my K&B 19 and K&B 29 sit in a (mostly complete) test stand on my work table. Life happens, and so much is going on! I will try to send you a private message now, as I have insight on these health issues!!

Ya I seen your message! Thanks for the ray of confidence, just have completely lost interest in just about everything I use to enjoy doing. It’s like a sickness. Maybe something else is going on physically. Dementia, comes to mind. Developed an eye issue. Very blurred and awful ringing in my ears. Noticed a very flat spot on my skull. I push on it and it’s soft and feel reaction just below my Knick combines with a sinus my nose will run and discharge in my throat. I’ve been to a doctor. They want more MRIs oh well, hate to post this on a Super Ringmaster. But hey thats life!

AJ Sun,
I am so sorry to hear of the extent of your issues, and hope the MRIs will give good guidance to your doctors! We do need you back on the forum, and active with your modelling work. You have helped me immensely as I resurrected my Super Ringmaster and K&B 19 and K&B 29 engines, and your continued help is really important! Get better quickly, I am about to run them up!

aaganz: thanks for the kind words. But it don’t look good for me, a friend told me I was on a pitty party, and knock it off, looks like things are shutting down, kidneys. Heart in a real slow beat, liver infection. That’s what they are treating right now, it that shuts down I am pretty much done for. I may have developed it from my back surgery. They just don’t know. If it was a botched procedure. Feel really sick. Lost some eye site. That’s my next appointment.

AJ Sun,

Hang in there, and get that liver infection straightened out! Once that's done, they can get on with the other issues. Don't despair, those guys are pretty good. I have a number of plastic containers out to make a new windshield for my Super Ringmaster, and will cut them shortly. Hopefully when the heat breaks I can get my K&Bs outside on the rest stand and do a first run up.

Keep working on those planes....I am waiting to hear more of your 45 Flying Fool!!

All,

My plane and test stand have been much delayed by some health and household issues! The glow fuel waiting in my test stand tank has turned green!! I have tossed it out, but will refill with new glow fuel.
How to clean out the old test tank??? It is 260 ml and was filled with 5%Nitro, 29% Castro.

How to clean it out before trying again!! I'll try a separate post on this in the forum!

All,
Thanks to J330 who wrote that I can use any dish detergent or Rubbing Alcohol. I am to just keep shaking and flushing it out, and then add a little glow fuel to clean out moisture!
This should work.....the old "greenish" mixture will be gone, and my Test Stand will be back in action!

I know the Sterling kits did not have plans, but has anyone created them for this design that has part sizes? I am thinking about scratch building one.

Vertical Grimmace,

The plans are shown in this thread by "Donnyman" posted 11/7/2023. I also bought them in hardcopy print from ......(?).....but will check the source after Thanksgiving! They are folded on my worktable!!

Vertical Grimmace,

I bought the hardcopy "Super Ringmaster" plans (SKU 50369) from AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) in April 2024.
