Hi,
Was just curious if there was someone flying C/L in the Woodburn Oregon area or anywhere close?
Let me know. I'd kind of like to get back into it, but it's hard to launch by yourself! :>

Bruce,
If I recall correctly from my Willamette U. days, Woodburn is a bit less that halfway from Salem to Portland, just East of I-5. If this is correct, there may not be anyone closer to you than ten to twenty miles away. I can tell you that there is a fairly active group of Control Line flyers in the Salem area. Additionally, the Northwest Fireballs in Portland are a going concern as well. While I'm not certain of contact names/phone numbers, I'm certain that the local hobby shops might help you out.
You might also head over to McMinnville this weekend for the "TEAM Country Classic 2005" at the Evergreen Aviation Museum to see if you can hook up with other CL flyers. For further information, check out the [link=http://www.clstunt.com/htdocs/dcforum/DCForumID10/267.html]Country Classic[/link]. Just follow the links from there and you should be set.
Have fun.

There are two clubs in Portland and one club in Salem,
Call Mike Hazel from the Salem club
check out www. modelaircraft.org
find the ABOUT AMA pull down menu and find CHARTERED CLUBS, District XI for phone numbers and contacts
Every Memorial day week-end there is a fantanstic contest called the NW Regionals, ask Mike about the contest...
