I have a blade cp that no matter how I setup the antenna it would glitch. It would not pass a range check and would experince glitches even when only 10feet away with full TX extension.
So since I could not find a way to route the antenna I decided it must be interferance and I changed from chan 17 to 35. Same thing....so I figure the interferance must be coming from the heli, and I just can't find a way to route the antenna from the electronics maybe I should try a whip, short antenna should be easier to route....
Well last night I installed the antenna with a length of about 5in left on the stock reciver. It would range check to about 30 paces without serious gitter. Also at this disance if you move the heli into just the right orientation you would lose signal compleatly.
I tried verious lengths of stock RX wire and the best I could do is with 4in left. Now I can get about 80feet with the tx down before serious gitter starts to occur.
Any thoughts on what could be going on or what I should try next?

Make sure your transmitter antenna is screwed in tight. I had this glitching problem and found my transmitter antenna loose.
Also I have found that when one of the motors brushes have been worn out it creates a lot of glitching, but of course the helicopter has to be running. Good luck!

if a servo is bad it will glitch
if a servo is bad it will glitch
Or do you mean a failed servo can cause a radio glitch? I have looked over all my servos and they seem to be functioning all right, is there a way you suggest to test this?
At this point I wonder if I should just buy a new reciver with a dual shift.

also remove & inspect the tx module. it might be seated incorrectly.
also, is this a new cp? did this just start after a crash?
i had glitches with an esc mounted too close to the rx, but that only occured with the motor running. i also had some glitching from a bad servo. in that case, the servo would jitter if it passed through or i tried to keep it on the "bad" step (step=position).

I have had this heli for a couple months and I am pretty sure the issue has been there the whole time I have owned it. It is just now that I want to get further away and thus is a bigger issue.....since I have changed chan's I have changed the crystal in the rx and the tx.....so the crystal is installed correctly....I have also had to replace the main frame and when I did that I tried to re-route some servo wires and stuff to get it even more out of the way, yet still no improvment :-(....I am wondering again if maybe it is local interferance, some non FCC regulated device giving off a broad range of crap around 72mhz. I will try to take the heli to a park tommarow instead of infront of my house....see if it does a bit better there.

jent...I had that glitching issue with a bad motor, once I replaced the motor everything was fine. It's cheap way of doing diagnostics, if it's not the motor you have an extra motor you'll need anyway.

I don't think it is the TX since I am on a futaba 7C. Although I have not used the stock transmiter so I can not fully rule that out. It is not the motor because it was doing it with the stock motor and is still doing it with the brushless.
What do you think is most likely?
Outside influence
Transmiter
RX
3 in 1

Have you changed the tail motors? Are your motors grounded (small wire going from the neg post on the motor to the motors case)? I have had glitching issues before and grounding the motors cleared it right up. Is your 4n1 fused or are you running separates? 4n1 around $40 little expensive for a trouble shoot but who knows could be it.

It is not just a servo.....the main rotor will change speed....tail will freak out...and more so

I use the stock landing gear on my BCP. I put heat shrink tubing on the legs and then rewraped the antenna, that keeps the antenna off the carbon fiber which can be a cause of glitching. Have fully charged batteries in your transmitter? I've heard most people using JR with these helis. Negative shift(?) Did the problem start after changing to Futaba? Let us all know what you finally figure out. Andy

I have the Spektrum DX6 ya know the Glitch Free one.
Well about a week ago my heli was Glitching, rotor speed up and down. Servos a lil jerky, I was like what the?????
It turned out to be a bad main motor.
On the new motor I ran it on 3v for a half hr to seat the brushes before installing it. Now it flys smooth as can be no glitches or weirdness. $9.99 and the problems all went away.
I think I may pick up a spare tomorrow just to keep one on hand.
