Default E-Flite Blade CX2 lower blade tracking problems

Need some help, does anyone know why the blade tracking on the lower blades are out by over a centremeter at a normal hover, as I thought that they are fixed. Anyone know how to fix it.

Sounds like it could be a broken lower rotor mounting head, a bent outer shaft, or bad blades. There is no adjustment for lower rotor tracking. I hope you find the problem.

Mine is the same way actually. about 1 cm off. I thought there was an issue when I had changed blades, because I initially had problems with control after the change. I ended up having to recenter my servos and that solved my control issues, and I have a rock-solid hover now. But the lower blades still appear to be off slightly.

Before I bent the original outer shaft, the lower blades on my CX2 tracked perfectly. I got a replacement outer. While installing it, I found that one of the plastic lower blade mount pins was broken too. So, I decided to upgrade to the aluminum lower blade mount from HeliDirect. I put everything back together and now the lower blades don't track perfectly anymore. They are about 1/8" off.

I don't know what could cause this as everything should be straight... Still flies OK, though.
So, I'd like to know too, is there a fix?

Thanks for the advice. The pins in the lower rotor head were fine, so I tried some new lower blades and that has made the blade tracking problem negligable, its about 5mm now (about 1/8 inch). Its is hovering fine.

I also brought an aliminium inner shaft and rotor head, and I have found that the stabiliser bar sits in the rotor head quite loosely compared to the original that could be stiffened with the adjustable screw. This has made the heli quite unstable outdoors.

I've got an older Blade CX thats got lower blade tracking problems. I've replaced the blades and the outer shaft. The rotor head pins seem fine, and the swash plate hasn't separated. I noted that you had some luck by recentreing your servos. How did you do that?

My CX2 does the same thing but flies good. My dealer and me both agreed, but don't like it. if it flies ok it's ok. I think it's a imperfect shaft, increase your blade speed and move right this will increase the lower blade speed and almost stop the upper if the tracking and vibration get worse you have a problem with the lower shaft and vice a versa. Either way control those speeds and narrow it down to upper or lower and go from there don't rule out blade weight there marked neer the mounting area usualy 0-4 match them with the same blade you should be able to get it close. But remember speed up the lower if vibrations get worse look at lower shaft and blades and visa versa.

I think I'm having the same problem as discussed, how do you re-center the servos? My bird is over responsive as well. When does motor performance become an issue? The motors are about the only things I have not replaced on mine yet. I have it for 8-9 months, should I be concerned or should I not try and fix what isn't broke? thanks for any info!! dave
