I installed the CNC frame and Head on my BCP Pro. Flies great, can't wait to see what the Belt Drive can do.

So a cheaper out to get a 300 size heli with a belt drive may be the Compy 300 Helicopter Kits. only $82.50

Yeah but it's so cheap because you don't get anything but the skeleton...hehehe! That way anything is cheaper, no wonder.

For a bit more than that ($89) you can buy a Heli-Max MX400 which is a much better helicopter, belt-driven, and better quality, metal frame, etc. looks even better than that Compy 300.... yet you have to add the RX, ESC, motor, and servos....but I might do that... I was thinking already of buying this $65 conversion kit for the Falcon 3D, why not pay a bit more $89, get the Heli-Max 400 and mount the brushless motor, ESC, RX, and servos from my Falcon 3D to the Heli-Max 400...

I might do this, and the hell with this shaft-driven crap that I started not to like already.

Or do what Crash and Choppers did and buy a Esky HB KingV2 for $175 delivered with everything on it already, including radio/esc/gyro/etc...

Keep the Cp where it is no sense in updating. Spend a little less than people here are suggesting and you get to keep and or sell the CP and having a flyable chopper.

DY

PS I'm working on building my t-rex right now or I'd be getting a HBKV2 myself, no fundage.

DrunkYoda,

I don't have a Belt CP, Blade CP, or whatever CP you're talking about. I never said I had any "CP", I was talking about my Falcon 3D, I have four helicopters and one of them is a "CP" (whatever CP you're talking about).

I'm going to buy me a belt-driven conversion kit for my Falcon 3D, or just buy a Heli-Max MX400 which is only $89 and take all the electronics from the Falcon 3D (RX, servos, BL motor, ESC) and mount them on the Heli-Max MX400 and period.

Regards.

PD: I wonder if people really bother reading messages and threads before replying/commenting

Seems as this is an EFLITE forum, I just assumed the creator of this post had a CP or CP Pro. Since other EFLITE members have been posting about moving to the HB KV2. And your non-EFLITE post fits in here where?

I was replying to the author, not to your post.

DY

PS all I wonder if people that don't have Eflite helis realize that when they post in EFLITE forum that we expect them to say something related to eflite or other forums within the eflite domain. Or at least own or be considering an eflite bird.

Sorry Fox not flaming you, just trying to find relevance in your post when you question mine. I am referencing another Eflite posting wheeeeeeCP where people are interested in the Esky Kingv2. I see no reference to eflite or anything discussed in any forums relating to the falcon, other than your and a few others postings which in general have had nothing to do with the subject of the original posting.

Also how can you not "have a Belt CP, Blade CP, or whatever CP you're talking about" and then also "have four helicopters and one of them is a "CP"" This makes no sense to me, I had to "read the posting closely" and I still have not figured out what that means.

DrunkYoda,

Okay sir, no harm done. Just look at the bottom right side of each message where it says "In reply to...XXXX" and that will keep us all well organized, otherwise this is a mess, because I had no idea what were you talking about, and I don't have any CP...haha.

Oh did I say "....and one of them is a CP" ? - Ooooops! Sorry, I probably meant to type....and NONE of them is a CP, got it? ;-)

Hey I'm 54 years old, about time I start to get "old" wouldn't you think? So as I forgive you for replying to me, when I wasn't asking you anything, .....may you forgive me for saying "...and one of them is a CP" ? - I think you do. - Anyway, NO I don't have a Blade CP, neither a Belt CP. - The only "CP" I have is a Heli-Max Axe CP and it's not made by E-flite, obviously.

Anyway, all points cleared out, you wrongly replied to me, I was replying to the other guy....and no big deal, now we figured it out all.

No problem, we are a big family here helping each other. ;-)

Sorry All I will refrain from starting a flame war, just don't like to be put down when I saw no reason that my post was not in line with this and other discussions on the eflite forum. Please reference WheeeeeeCP where Crash and choppers are both deciding on the Esky KingV2. I believe Arrow and a few others are also contemplating moving from a tail motor to a belt.

In response to the author or this particular thread, I apologize. I too have looked at the microheli design. It looks rather expensive considering the cost/benefit, especially when you could buy another bird or skeleton bird such as the falcon/hbkv2/compy etc... that would actually be cheaperand give you the option of selling your CP, which I assume you have since this is an eflite forum and you are asking about a CP Belt conversion.

On the moving forward side, I'd like to second or third attempts in this forum, to implore Eflite to get rid of the tail driven motor in favor of the belt drive tail with auto rotate main hub.

I hope they hear this as I do respect the eflite brand I just wonder where their heart is. Either the money of making these or the hobby itself. In the interest of the hobby I think all minis and micros will be using belts sometime in the future, it's just a matter of time until competition drives all sub-$200 RTF models this way.

Thanks and sorry for the above outburst.

Oh I forgot something.....look at your original message to me, see at the bottom right side it says "In reply to Foxito" ? - So you replied to me, not to the other guy.

Regards

PS: I wonder why people don't read the "In reply to...XXXX" before they would write to someone that didn't ask them something in specific, while that person was replying to someone else. Would make it easier for all of us not to reply to the wrong person. ;-)

Well I was kinda replying to you You said a particular skeleton with parts from your falcon, I was just giving another option in addition and in my case it had been referenced in other posts and also offered the full package that way, in your case, you could keep the falcon and fly or sell it

Dy

OH how can I reply to the author of the message and not to you?

ya...what Yoda said.............[:@] And Yoda I wholeheartedly agree....... You stated:

I just took my Eflite Blade CP back to stock and other than having issues with my trashing the frame on its maiden, they fly just fine stock. By converting them to belt drive tails........ you basically have a smaller version of the HBK2. The MH belt conversion kit clocks in at $288.00 USD and all 6 of the reviews on that site are negative. Expense being the main issue. granted........MicroHeli has some awesome products but there is so much competition out there in internet land that you can get basically the same parts for half the price shipped to your door. There are so many cheaper and just as workable options out there that buying a $300 bling part falls just on the short side of insanity. And I can vouch for useless bling, I have a blinged out Eflite Blade CP that is not flying at the moment. Good $350 desk ornament...........

Easy, when you read the message, you see the word "Reply" on top at the right side, click on it and you'll be directly replying to that person, or click there on "Quote" and you will automatically get the original mesage quoted within your message text, and when you're done and submit it, it says at the bottom right side "In reply to.....(whoever)" :-)

Regards ;-)

Yep that was my conclusion. AND don't forget you need the gyro, an additional servo for the tail, I'd recommend a more powerful motor like brushless to power both main gears you get with a belt. With that you way surpass the I'm going to say $400 mark. For that you are in T-rex territory, unless you are looking for a smaller bird to fly indoors or in closedin spaces.

I hate to say it but the new consensus is not good for eflite, I just hope they get their .....act together and move forward as it looks like Esky may be tapping their market.

Even easier solution, why not make a _fixed_ "spindle with blade grips" for the tail, and have moveable tail fins? That way if you do clack a tail fin you dont also kill the motor. The tail then has some give.

Dy

PS sorry a little off topic but the only reason you do belt tail is because you hate the factory, only options folks, only options.

I was also wondering about the cap, but I'm not a ham, and maybe that's why I don't know =P

a ham is a ham radio certified operator, or short wave radio. Stuff like the shuttle uses, and you can talk up to half way around the world depending on the day and the conditions.

I myself as you, am wondering what is a cap.. hehe. I am a "ham" also. The term "ham" comes from *amateur* and it is usually said of Amateur Radio Operators, we are all over the world, and communicate all over the world through shortwave bands, as well as VHF and UHF in many operation modes that go from Morse Code (CW), to RTTY (Radioteletype), to Packet Radio, SSTV (Slow Scan TV), AM, FM, and many other modes. In the U.S. a "ham" is certified by a FCC (Federal Communications Commision) license that goes from Novice to Extra Class. "Ham" Radio is a hobby, as it is our hobby here of flying helis and/or planes, it's just another way of having fun. ;-)

Back to our schedule.....sorry but I had to say this.

Regards (...from KF4NR 73's to all the hams here hehe)
