Just curious if any of you with CX2's noticed that the reciever unit just kind of dangles and isn't secure. I just got mine brand new and noticed this.
Also, I chipped one of the lower blades. Now the nose tends to slowly turn right in tiny spurts while hovering. I noticed that the nose will turn extremely fast to the right but when I turn it left it will go WAY slower. Will replacing the chipped blade correct this problem?
Another thing I noticed is the part with velcro in the heli where the battery is supposed to press up against is way too far up front. In order to stick the battery that far up there and press up against the velcro, I would have to put the battery in wire side first which would smash the wires in there and be WAY too much of a pain in the you know what. So, I've just been flying it without the battery being velcro'd down. Do you guys do this too?
Also wondering what mods actually work well. I want to be able to fly mine outside with better performance than stock (in calm conditions of course).

Trinity servo tape, clean both sufaces first with rubbing alcohol or bearing claener or brake cleaner.

Change damaged blade, adjust proportional to your liking, mine will turn right and left at same rate.

Velcro on side of batt without wires, insert with wires out rear of heli.

I want to help You. I'm new at this too, but I feel I've been doing this for years, because I have read the manual; and most importantly, signed on like You did, and did a search on all the problems I have had with my CX2. I have found a wealth of information that answered all of my questions and alot of questions I haven't even thought of asking on the ARCHIVES. That is; looking at old threads using the 'search.'
I'm not being condescending; I'm grateful that someone took the time to help me; but some of the questions You are asking are very basic.
It would take 6 paragraphs to answer all of your questions, that have been answered dozens of times already.
Read, Read, Read.
You'll be glad You took the time!
Hope this helps.

About that chipped blade, and Goldslinger can back me up on this one: CHANGE THAT CHIPPED/CRACKED BLADE!! Better to spend $1.00 on a replacement blade now, or $50 in parts later after you've lost control of your heli and smashed it into the concrete. Ask me how I know this, "eh, she's flying fine".
In my experiences, R/C planes are much more forgiving, i.e., at least you can come into a skidding halt on the ground w/ minimal damages most of the time, but heli's are a different story. Not only are your blades your source of propulsion, but also your "wings". You lose those, it's over.
