Hello all,
I was wondering how many out there actually still fly their Blade CX2's even with new additions of a Blade CPP or even trex's. I have both a Blade CP and now a Trex450SA but was looking at the CX2 as a fun indoor toy. I was curious if I will get bored of its simplicity and never fly it. Are there others out there that have the larger more precise copters that still love their Cx/Cx2's? I was also thinking about the CX2 as a fun way to show my wife and other the thrill of this sport. I have debated on getting one for a while. Usually the more precise heli wins out as I need parts or upgrades. Thanks for your comments and help.

I started with a CX and have not gotten bored with it. It serves a purpose all its own... it flies conveniently inside and it's useful for keeping your skills up on figure eights, nose-in hovers, etc. In other words, it acts like a flying version of a simulator. Well you get the idea. It's a useful training tool and more fun than a simulator. Unfortunately, I still crash it sometimes and it still costs me money as a result. However, when I go back to the CX after flying my 'larger, more precise heli' I renew my appreciation for just how incredibly well a CX flies. It goes up, it goes down. It turns left and right. No fuss, no hassles, no fiddling around. No, it's not acrobatic, and it's forward flight leaves a lot to be desired. Yet, unless I crash, I basically never need to fiddle with it. Neall

Neall,
Thanks for the fast and great information, I have a local friend selling him Blade CX2 for a good price and I was very tempted. I think that it would be fun to fly in the house and even at work in the larger hall we have. I have spun up my blade cp in my small apartment but I got way to nervous; the TV screen and aquarium would be way too easy to hit. Anyone else have multiple heli's and still enjoy the blade CX2 or any other coaxial heli for that matter? Thanks

Sure thing man, I'm the same way 50 inch DLP pretty darn close to where I try to fly my CP. CX is just plain fun, no hassles, no outdoors. I tell you what it's always up no matter how much I fiddle around with the CP
Get alum heads and plenty of blades.
Do or do not, there is no try.
DY
Also good for the girlfriends. Whether you have one or have a wife and looking for one
JK Yeah it's a way to justify my cost, see you're having fun too and you're not even really into it....LOL

If you have moved up to begger helis and have bought a dx6 or 7 you will love the cx2 with a dx7.
It really is twice the machine with a decent radio.

I only have the CP 1/2 and a CX 1/2 (CX converted to 2.4 GHz) but I really enjoy flying the CX. It's nice to just fly around inside. I wish I had more room than what I do in our little apartment but once in a blue moon, I can take it outside in this Oklahoma wind and really play around. It's fun and from what I have read from others, it's nice to have just to get your mind off the more difficult heli's.

Thank you all for the great advise. I do have a DX7 for my Trex and have a new receiver for my blade cp that hasn'y been installed yet. I will definenelty go ahead and grab a blade CX2 just for indoor fun and teaching others (like the wife). I am glad to see others are still having fun with the Cx2. They look like a blast.

You will really like the cx2 with your dx7.
Hours of trying to tune the cx2 will not do what the radio does in a instant.
All the posts you see about "pirouettes fast one way and slow another , how do you fix?" could be answered by the response "DX&7"
After flying my basher cx2 with the dx7 I took my perfect balanced trimmed cx to the hobby store and sold it.
