Hi guys Im new to this forum. Just last week I bought the Cx2 and for the first time flew a RC heli. Im liking so much already that I want to upgrade this model to an outdoor heli. I found a website that sells an Exstream boom with rotor(type 3). My question is.. has anyone tried this yet? What does the assemble cost? Heres the link. http://www.bladecx2.com/ Problem is that you have to be a dealer to perchase this from this site.
Thanks

Trevor, welcome to the hobby. I hope it proves exciting and fun for years to come!
That boom is purely for aesthetic purposes, other than a carbon fiber upgrade. I would stay away from the blade grips at all costs. more weight, more expensive, and form what ive heard, more problems. just get a regular carbon fiber boom, you'll be fine. And I'm not sure if this is the website, but i know a site was just repackaging dynam vortex parts and other parts and reselling them at a higher price. I think it was this site, dont quote me on that.

I'm not usually into personal endorsements, but when someone get it right, everyone should know about it. There are other successful parts out there and we all have our favorites, but for me, these work. No more broken skids and a good working and good looking tail boom assembly. Jamie at Boomtown Hobbies got it right with the Superskids and Carbon Tail. The only change I made was installing my tail fin with the long end up rather than down. I kept getting hooked on stuff when it was pointed down and I was flying backwards.
The only outlet I know of is through ebay. In the BUY box, type in Blade CX Carbon Fiber Boom. This morning it took me directly to the Boomtown Hobbies ebay ad. $26 is the price. Delivery is fast.
Anything you can do to reduce weight and drag is going to make the CX/2 work better / longer.
