I thought I would just jump in here. I am a newbie to all this. I ordered the entire Extreme core assembly for $64.95 for my CX2 about a week ago. I ordered it from "bladecx2.com". When it comes to my door I will install, test and give you guys a report. I also ordered the Extreme fly bar. I ordered the Xtreme boom kit and skid from ushobby.com, the skid is great because I am using a Thunder power 1320 mah battery. It fits like a glove in the skids with a little velcro.

After reading alot of post on just what are the best grips and hop ups I came to the conclusion that it was worth it for me to try the Extreme core. Just looking at how it is designed and the fact that it is mostly plastic I think is better. It seems to me to be more of a personal issue that people are having with the seller of the Extreme core rather than the parts themselves. Anyway I will find out soon one way or another. I will keep everyone posted.

Helibeli, The problem that I'm having is that I only bought the grips and blades. I also wanted to stay with plastic due to its light weight. I forgot where I read this but it was from one of the i-stores that said that these would work with stock e-flite parts. They are wrong and cause of this I believe give exteme a bad name. The guy at bladecx2.com was very helpful and if you ever have a problem just give him a call.
If you got the whole core then is should fly just great. I don't want extended shafts (i just don't like the look). I'm just looking for blade grips.

Hi All, I fitted the complete Extreme core and used Xtreme blades about 2/3 weeks ago - it works a treat, good hover and FFF.

However! the last couple of days the tail has developed a twitch when its in a stable hover - its as if its waging its tail like a dog. It moves about 1/2" clockwise then 1/2" anti-clockwise but fast??!! The twitching stops when I apply more power or move forward/backward/side-to-side.

It’s as if something is binding, I've checked both shafts and they are not too tight, the screws through the outer shaft don’t seem to be touching the inner. Shafts are straight and the blades and flybar are balanced and free moving.

I forgot which way up the washer on the bottom of the outer shaft goes (flat side down or flat side up?!) but I’ve tried it both ways and it does make a difference to the twitch.

Any ideas what could be causing it?! Bad bearing? Dodgy swathplate?

I'm new at Helis. I bought a CX2, and practiced like the manual advises. After about 6 flights, i nicked one of the upper blade. Since then, whenever i hover the aircraft sways from side to side, and i immediteley land. Hovering is no longer an option. I tried adjusting the trim setting several X's. There are no visible broken parts. Any advice. Thanks

cutterboy - the cx has a built in rate gyro to hold the head steady when you are hovering, but cuts out when you move - sounds like the gyro gain is a little too high - this can happen when you change the weight of the heli - you need to adjust your gyro gain - it's in the manual - go slow and change by tiny bits, fly and see if its better

docnee - if you look at the heli from the side with the blades spinning fast but not quite at take off speed, you will see that the blades are probably out of track

I will have to make time I guess because I will not let this one go. The parts you can get them from helihobby and you do not need to buy the whole kit at once u can buy separate parts till you build it up. They are not that badly priced , i think???? I am going to get the mod motors. It should help.

Taven, The owner of bladecx2.com(Extreme's manufacturer) Told me that the grips/blades are for spare parts for the whole core system. They weren't intended to be used with e-flight's assembly.
You can still try and if you get it all working together then let me know what I missed.

No, i mean i will just get the rest of the kit . The whole system from what we got is just , longer shafts , different gears. Look at helihobby.com . I know you said you did not like the look of the long shaft, but folding blades are sweet as I am you are sure.

Return the "Extreme Core" stuff and get the "Xtreme" upgrades from either www.boomtownhobbies.com or www.ushobbysupply.com.

I have not used the "Extreme" products, but by all accounts hee on the forums in the last 6 months, it is crap. Sorry. []

Take the refund.

Sonat, Nice to see you in here. I'm sorry that some people seem to be bashing your product. I'm sure your extreme product is great and I have heard of MANY good reviews of your products. I'm personally not into the whole extended shafts (looks) I want to keep a low style on my heli.

Thanks for the advice Edge, I adjusted the gyro gain and the twitch has gone.

Like you said it's all in the manual - I think I should read the whole manual again, there's allot of information in there I simply missed or didn't understand when I first started.

Thanks for posting on here "Sonat", and giving us an update on your new products. As I mentioned above I ordered your core assymbly ($64.95) and a fly bar a week ago. I got email confirmation and a tracking number for the Canadian mail, but I have not recieved it yet, and the tracking information never changes.
It just says "electronic informatin has been recieved on 11/29/07.

I live in Illinois, when do you think I can expect to see my new parts?

I can't wait to try them!

I bought my adjustable flybar from sonat off of ebay and I just figured that out. We both left pos feedback and if I remenber he thru in some FREE upper blades but they were the folding type and that is what set the damn rocket off to go folding. So go figure it came full circle. My be a inside joke.

Probably because a lot of people have tried them and have been unhappy. Maybe bad customer service. I don't know.

By the way DO NOT SHOUT unless you really mean to. I did.

Also, please be clear. We are talking about two different products with similar names (Extreme vs. Xtreme)

Xtreme products (some of them, anyway) are pretty good. I've never tried the other at the advice of MANY, MANY people both here, on HeliFreak and on RC Groups.

If someone wants to give me an "Extreme" setup for free, I will be happy to install it and provide an honest opinion. Until that happens, or the reputation of the Extreme line gets much better, I will stick with what I have.

Take your cap lock button off.

If you had problems before why would you buy from Canada again?
The Xtreme blade grips that Boom Town Hobbies carries are the best ones on the market and work great.
