These FP machines always go left on take off. I find that if you hop them into the air and give a little right aileron you can catch them. Takes a little practice but you will get it.

Most if not all of them slide left, is the centrifugal force of the blades. Mine lifts straight off now, but it's only because I'm inputting to correct it without even thinking about it now. Once you get her in the air if she is still moving left you might have a trim issue.
It's a lot of reading but this thread covers almost everything for a FP machine http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6807677/tm.htm

Like stump3r said, it's a blade thing - and that tail rotor. The rotor pushes left because the heli wants to spin right. On ice, the tail rotor will push the heli across the pond just trying to keep the tail from rotating. In the air, looking from behind, the heli does not fly level. It leans right to counter the other forces. Trim your heli so when you let go of the sticks, the heli does not travel sideways out of control. Neutral stick must be neutral flight input. The heli will not hover unaided, but the trim should be set so neutral stick allows the heli to 'rest' with minimal wander. Once I got mine trimmed that way, I actually started to hover it!
