I just had my first flight attempt with my Blade 400 in my company parking garage. I got a few hovers which seemed like an eternity, but in reality were no more than a few seconds. For me, I'm pretty stoked; my heart rate is still up....
I did experience some tail-wagging in my final couple of hover attempts. The tail would basically wag back and forth. Is this a gyro gain setting?

Would it make any sense if I said that I didn't notice it till the last 3 of my say 8 hover attempts? The heli was in my office and I then transitioned to the parking garage where it is 15 degrees cooler. I didn't wait the specified 15 minutes for the gyro to acclimate...could this cause it? Does the gyro perform differently once it is 'warmed up'?

jreue,
Yeah, by design, the gyros are sensitive to sudden temperature changes....best to stick with the recommended 15 minute acclimation period if you are going from a warm to a cool place, and vice versa...some gyros seem more prone to this than others....
Also, the stock Eflite G110, while acceptable, isn't the greatest gyro out there....so some variation and inconsistency can be expected from time to time...as you get into better, more expensive gyros, they get alot better...but I flew for a year on my B400 before I upgraded, and still fly one with a stock gyro...they are OK...just not great...so you can't expect too much...
Hope this helps...

How long all together were you flying for? It is possible that your battery was low? Low battery = low head speed which = crappy tail.
