Default Setting up Elevons

Hi,

I have a Delta wing type plane (Superfly) and I am confused about one of the settings that I am trying to get right. I am using a Spektrum DX6i, and when I have the settings so that the aileron function works correctly, then the elevator functions are reversed. If I reverse the elevator so that they move in the right direction then the ailerons are reversed and turning the opposite direction. If I change one so that it's correct the other goes the opposite direction. The left servo is in the aileron slot; the right in the elevator slot of the receiver.

How can I correct this?

Thank you!<br type="_moz" />

I'm not familiar with the Spectrum radios, but I would try switching the aileron ports. Be sure to mark them when you foind the right combo. I've had to do this with both an Airtronics and a Polk tranny.

PS you may still have to play with the reversing.

It sounds like you have things exactly backwards...    Here are the steps I went through with my gryphon

Select wing type "elevon"
plug left side into elevator, right side into aileron

adjust the amount of throw...

Done

I'm thinking just do a reverse on both channels and you should be good to go.

Set up the elevator function first.
Polarities etc.
The aileron function is then set by swapping channels between the two servos.
Trying ailerons first won't work.

Hope you followed that last...  it makes so much sense....  Thanks Tall Paul,   by polarities he means the servo reversing function.  Set that up for elevator.

Thanks for the assistance!  Reversing which was plugged into the aileron/elevator slots seemed to fix the problem.<div>
</div><div>Now another question what should I do about the other settings on the transmitter?  Should there be a mix?  And anyone know where I can set the throw?  </div><div>
</div><div>Cheers.</div>
