The first shipment should arrive this week from Axi. I have my test plane ready to go as soon as they arrive I will put one on it and get some numbers to post. Axi did not return to production following vacation until 9/1 so it's a little longer to get them than I was hoping.

Here are a couple charts for the AXI 5325 showing watts and volts on a couple different props. I was pushing this motor pretty hard with the TP and Hyperion packs and some larger props. On a 75 degree day, there was no temp issue, however, on a 90 degree day, the 5325 would come down pretty warm - 160-170F. Plane was an Integral, 11 lbs. Keep in mind, I was pushing this motor just to see what it could take. The motor runs very smoothly and quietly, well made, typical AXI quality.

I preferred the APC 20x13 on this motor from a performance/load viewpoint.

The second part of the AXI part number is the length of the stator. So that means the 5325 has a 25mm stator.

Looks like the 5325/24 is available now. Will be interesting to see what people think of it after some use.

I think we need to be mindful of weight comparisons between motors. My AXI 5330/F3A weighs 670grams with adaptors and plugs etc. Take a close look at what the Hacker or Neu motors weigh when you include the adaptor, plugs and mounting brackets etc. There's not as much in it as you might be led to believe. The mounting method for an out-runner is far simpler and lighter than an in-runner... Just my two cents worth...

Cheers
Jason.

I'm not advocating any motor over another. I used to be a huge proponent in the AXI line, well okay I used to be a dealer so I guess even that is an understatement . Anyway, I recently converted an AXI F3A powered plane to using a Neu. Net weight loss was about 3 ounces. The shift in weight was so significant that I had to move my batteries 2 1/2" further forward, and even went to larger, heavier batteries.

The tricks that companies play with their specs are annoying, and you do have to be careful about. Some weigh with adapter, some weigh without, most don't disclose, some dont even provide.

AXIs are great motors though, do doubt about that. Will be good to see more choices out there and this smaller version should give more people more options.

hi,
i'm building a F3A personal airplane, the weight will be around 5000kg may be less.
could you me say if I can install this axi 5325 f3a on may airplane ( because the 5330 is heavier than the 5325)?
thanks a lot
jc
