Ah that work shop looks familiar. Yepa I heard today that's coming along fast. At this pace it will be done before the other one's. The paint shop is on hold for at least a week. Going to try to paint at same time. What are you going to use for power?

Jr:D

Missed the question

But, planning a Pletty with a YGE . . . I hear that's what the pro's use :D

I don't know if I'm more excited to see the finished product you two put together or finally to fly the darn thing:)

Great looking plane Chris. Is the scheme a takeoff of the Xigris? Did you use PPG or Auto Air on it? Wow your really getting good at it.
Dean Funk graphics kick.....!!!!! Mike

And, yes I asked Chris if he could do something similar to the Xigris and sure enough he delivered. I think he's got a second career just waitin' :)

Really nice JP. I like that scheme. I wish Chris had some pics of this awesome Genesis he had about 5 years ago. It had a really cool paint scheme too. Mike

Mike, the E-Motion is PPG Concept. Still playing with the Auto Air stuff.

I think you were referring to the ill-fated, removable nose (3 times) flaming Genesis from 2006.

RE: Delro E-Motion kit

I only hope it flies as good as the 1st one I put together. The only difference so far is the paint scheme. Not sure about weight yet. I believe it will come in around 10lbs 12oz. With the snow storm we are going to get this weekend I might just get it finished. All that is left is radio install, motor-all the things that take time.

WOW !!!!!!! That turn out great. Glad to see that you made the wing look as good as my paint job. [:@] You know that now we have to finish up my Addiction.
Lets us know the final weight. This really give me an ideal of how the colors work together.

Hey Larry I notice some Christmas gift in the back ground. That one big box look's like my new 2.4 JR Radio?:D

I was mounting the rudder control horn and started questioning the strength of the rudder with the lightening cutouts. I opted to add a couple squares of very lightweight fiberglass cloth in the area of the horn, extending out about 3 inches. See (I'll trim the excess when the epoxy dries)

CG recommendations anyone?
"Instructions" say: 195 von der Nasenleite gemessen, which seems to translate as: "195mm measured from the Nasenleite"
At 195mm from the LE at the root, my packs are ending up hanging off the back of the battery tray, which I don't see in pictures of other's planes.

RE: Delro E-Motion kit

That looks about right. I used the Tp 5300's and they are somehat lighter than the ones you are using so that explains why yours aren't a little more forward.

Which motor are you using?

Also on a separate note . . .

. . . .just talked to Chris last night and looks like my plane is 1 to 2 weeks away from completion. HOOOO WHOOOO!
and, being one who loves to try new stuff I'm looking forward to trying a super light version with some interesting equipment choices:

1) Evo 25-12 520g vs 585g for 30-10 -65g
2) Jeti 77 Opto Pro 40g vs 57g for YGE 80 -17g
3) TP 4350 Pro Lite 1020g vs 1170g for 5350s -150g
4) APC 20x13 ? vs 20.5x14

EDIT: Turns out I was mistaken on the Jeti. Its 60g not 40g.

Total potential savings hoped for: 232g (8.2 ozs)!

Of course if the boss tries the setup and hates it we'll have a new YGE and 30-10 waiting in the wings to put in as well. I just thought it'd be a hoot to try something a little different. No harm no foul tryin' the 25-12 since the mount is the same only needs a slight shim to bring it forward. We'll see. ;)

JP

P.S. Here's a sneak peak at some data for the geeky types. Chris ran the 25-12 on his 12lb Yak using an APC 19x12 and said it flew with plenty of authority. He wasn't able to push it too hard 'cuz he was also using new batteries. Can't wait to see more!
