Default MICROJET HELP

HELLO, I RECENTLY TRIED TO FLY MY MICROJET. IT HAS THE STOCK MOTOR AND A 9.6V 8 CELL BATTERY . I through it in the air and it took off like a bat out of hell. The only problem is that it started losing altitude immediately! once it got into "ground effect" , it just stayed there at about 3 ft of the ground. IT WOULDNT CLIMB OUT AT ALL!!! I DONT GET IT BECAUSE IT WAS SCREAMING AT OVER 60 MPH NO DOUBT!! ANYBODY HAD THIS HAPPEN? ANY LNOWLEDGE OF THE PROBLEM IS GREATLY WELCOMED! THANKS

have you installed the prop the right way ?
the writing on the gunther prop should face away from the plane

Which cells and how many are you using ?

I'm pretty sure the prop is on the right way. it uts out a tremendous amount of thrust. I'm using a 9.6 volt ni-cd batt. I believe they are aa size at 1.2 volts a piece.its a stick pack and it needs to be slid way back to have the correct center of gravity. maybe its too nose heavy?

well, it is quite sensitive to CG
It should fly fine when it balances EXACTLY on the small bumps :-)

When you launch, and if you hold full up elevator, it can be enough to brake, and slow down the plane so much that it never gets up to flying speed.

I use 8 Kan 1050 cells that weigh 170grams a pack

What are you using ?

Its been awhile sinnce I posted on theis micro jet. I moved and tore the right elevon from the factory hinge. You knoe that skinny part that acts like a hinge along the back of the wing. Any Ideas on how to fix it?

tape will fix the elevon..

i bet your holding full up trying to make it climb. mines on ten cells but with all flying wings you have to let it drop a little to build up speed, once it's "on the step" you can get flying. on 10 cells i can just about self launch.
a little bit of up on launch ( 5mm ) helps but let off soon after.
