Default Electric plane suggestions

Does anybody have any suggestions for me? I want a stable, not hard to break, and cheap electric plane that is worth about 200 bucks.

Any suggestions will be accepted

Thnx

RC freak there are many out there to choose from, I saw your other post and it seems you are a newby, so you want a good trainer type plane to start with

In the RTF there is the Super cub this is a very good trainer but is a bit large so if room is an issue maybe not the best choice

Then you have the Mutiplex Mini Mag again a excellent trainer plane and it's EPP so it's very tough
Mutiplex also has the easy star, this is a pusher type plane so it gives you a chance to learn without the motor up front to damage, it is more of a glider so it can fly nice and slow

Exceed RC has a plane called Wild Hawk that is a copy of the easy star, again a pusher and glyder type plane, it too is EPP foam so it's tough

It realy is going to boil down to what kind of plane you want and then find one that fits your needs from there

The advantage to all these planes is they come RTF for under 200.00 and they can easily be upgraded to brushless later and become a whole new plane , and being EPP they can handle quite a beating

Good Luck with whatever you choose

RC Freak my recommendation is the Park Zone Super Cub. Its is big as AJ stated but is super tough. You would not believe the things I have seen people do to this plane on accident or on purpose. Then just pick them up and put them back in the air with little to no repairs. From hitting light poles, fences, other planes, tree's, or just dumb thumbed into the ground. Most if not all resulted in going over to the plane turn it right side up or pulling it out of the tree and away they go again. In some cases maybe a broken prop. Its even fun for me to fly and I fly EDF's and warbirds most of the time. It loops and is very stable even in a breeze. Flies well on stock battery but flies longer and with more power when you step up to LiPo's and requires no extra equipment when you do so. Just change a jumper on the ESC.

Jason

P.S. No I dont work for park zone. I just like this plane and has made it my #1 recommendation to beginners as it has proved itself.

I can't speak for the diablo, but it isn't getting very good reviews
There are lots of vids and info on the super cub on the backyard park flyer forum, there is a thread there dedicated to the super cub. I'm sure anyone on that thread can offer advice on it
All the planes I listed are EPP and very durable
The super cub is just bigger than all the others and for some it's too big to start out with

Bigger often flies better and tolerates wind better
BUT
Bigger takes more space at home, in your transportation and at the field. Whatever equipment you need to buy for it has to bee bigger too.

I PURCHASED A SUPER CUB FOR MY FIRST ELEC RC PLANE. THAT THING CAN TAKE A BEATING. EXCELLENT FOR BEGINERS. I WOULDNT SUGGEST A GLIDER UNLESS U WANT TO BE BORED TO DEATH AND IM SURE U DONT WANT TO SPEND $200 FOR A BIT OF BOREDOM. JUST TALK TO UR GIRLFRIEND FOR THAT. [>:]

I RECENTLY MOVED UP TO THE T-28 FROM PZ AND LOVE IT.

I got a diablo and have regretted it, although I have stuck with it and its come out to be alright but only after many mods. Dont bother with this crap. Try something like a parkzone mustang or FW190 or spitfire they seem better.

All I will say to you is keep your suggestions to yourself. Never heard of anyone suggesting a Mustang, Spitfire, or Me for a beginner. All great planes but not beginners type.

For an experience flyer, that would work OK, for a newbie, that might be a little tight, especially if you have to dodge the basketball backboards/poles.
