Default PROBLEMS with my firebird freedom

I Bought a FF when they came out and thought i was getting a great deal, let alone did i know what a world or hurt. im a noob begginer and was expecting this thing to fly pretty great,it did then i crashed it a few times and the problems started showing up. i basically replaced every moving part on the plane from a spare i got on ebay, for 60 bucks. i had already invested 140 for the plane and then another 120 for parts then this extra plane. I'm now having problems with my plane responding to my controller, either its the battery not charging(dc charger) or something with the electronix. because when it starts up it acts like it doesn't have any battery charge. i bought 2 batts and got 2 dc chargers... are all of yalls dc chargers crap also?? please help throw out whatyall got , thanks.

can you be a little more specific as to what it is doing and what you have done to try to fix it?

1. Do you know if the batteries are actually getting fully charged and are functioning ok? try running your motor or a spare motor off a pack directly with a prop installed and see how long it will run for.

2. Does it work at half throttle? full throttle? servos responding ok?

3. Is transmitter antenna tight? Is antenna wire on plane intact and undamaged? Have you done a rangle check to see if range has been affected?

4. Is rx/esc in the plane physically damaged in any way?

Well I just brought the plane out from it sitting for a while to go and fly it. I charge the battery and they charge.. i guess. But i have never had a problem with it not responding to the controller. Well all it wants to do when i plug in the battery is start up for about 40 seconds the prop spins REALLY FAST and then slowly dies, no servo response or no motor control. I have never had a problem with this and the last i flew it it worked. keep throwing stuff out there

Hobbyzone battery chargers are known to do this. I bet your batteries are not being charged!

SONYMASTER20 I need a favor from you. I just bought a used Firebird Freedom and everything seems to work OK. My only problem is that the plane checks out tail heavy with the CG 1 1/2" from the trailing edge of the wing (battery installed). Could you take the time to check where the CG is on your FF (battery installed) and get back to me?? Thanks

Aloha
Have a couple of freedoms. They both wound up with electronics problems after awhile. I converted them to 72 mhz (from stock 27mhz). Took out the circuit board from the plane cut off all the componets I could then replaced the servos with standard 3 wire servos. drilled a couple holes in the original circuit board and tywraped a 72mhz reciever and then tywraped a speed control. It all fits back in and my problems are few now. Many great flights.
Have Fun
