I'll second this nomination!

Peter sells 2 different sizes.
I bought the larger one because I wanted room to "fiddle" while I experiment. I think the shorter one would work out a LOT better inside a cowl.

Peter does a great job and I got my parts in less than 3 business days!

A cheaper alternative is to make the mount from 90 degree angle aluminum channel. I cut two pieces to go on the engine and two mating pieces that go on the firewall. The engine then mounts to the firewall by 4 bolts. Works like a charm and costs less than 10 bucks! The photos are not the best, but they will give you an idea.

I dinked around a bit with some scraps from work and came up with much the same thing I see here. I tried my rails horizontal and vertical.
I had 2 issues:
1. Too many screws. with screws to hold the angles together and screws to hold the angle to the motor and firewall there are 12 screws minimum. These engines will vibrate. I like to have as few screws as possible. So, I had a friend at work weld them for me.
2. Access to the carb. I would have to cut, drill, machine, file...

Then I found wacker engines!
His mount is really very light, strong, and WELL designed. It's clean and easy to work with. I believe that shipping for just a mount would be $4 or less since he only wanted $4 to ship me an entire kit! The mount is only $15, so for only $19 you could have a wonderful mount that is ready to go!

Sounds like a very good deal. I am just a do it myself nut. I like the machining and filing etc. I love punishment I guess!

Good luck with the whacker mount. I have seen one similar to it and it is very nice.
