Hi everyone, I'm looking for someone who can convert my Briggs & Stratton 34CC 4 stroke for R/C use. I want to have electronic ignition installed also. Anyone doing this type of conversion? This motor is destined for a Balsa USA Fokker DVII.

Yup....The performance was not all that great, less than a stock G23, and heavier....

Ok, so in your opinion, will it adequately power the Balsa USA DVII? I'm looking for scale like performance.

Hi,
The Balsa USA 1/4 scale D7 is rated for 25 to 35cc gas engine. With the lifting airfoil it should fly fine. Like a J3 Cub, just slower.

Do a search in the forum under Briggs and Stratton...There's a picture of one on a big bipe..
The one I had wouldn't swing a bigger prop very well, I got 7500 rpm using a Mejzlik 18-6..
The one on the plane was said to turn a 18-10 very well at first, then 7200 using an 18-8..
I must have "improved" mine worse when I raised the compression and did a little porting..
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing
