I'll look at the plans for the BP Hobbies Eindecker and measure it for you.
SR Batteries also sells a fabulous Eindecker. Flies great, look sgreat.
THis is the BP Hobbies Eindecker, before I added wheels, and other details.

I finally got around to doing the last part of the "conversion". I decided to mount the bellcrank for throttle control on the airframe instead of the engine itself. The bellcrank and linkages I raided from my helicopter spare parts so it is very smooth with almost zero slop. Now I just have to finish the rest of the plane!

Kmot, to answer your question (I know, its really late) I drilled through the back of the flywheel and usd a punch to knock the studs out. It was pretty easy as there is a dimple in the back where the hole is. Sorry for the delay.

The engine weighs 5lb 5Oz on my simple kitchen scale. It will eventually go into a WW1 Eindecker lookalike by Flair Models in the UK. Wingspan will be 100inches, Wing area 1700Sq inches, total weight around 16lb.
The plane is called the Hannibal and is described on the follwoing URL but mine will have the wingspan increased to 100 inches.

I just bought one off eBay for $49.95. I'm thinking about mounting it in Bridi's Old Timer (I think that is the name of it).
Don't know if I'll farm out the conversion, or try to do it myself. Don't know if my lathe and mill combo are large enough to accomodate it.
Does this engine use premix? I take it it doesn't because you can't mount it inverted...

You can mount the Briggs inverted (I have it inverted on my 1/4 scale Fokker DVIII)
It takes straight gas.
A small mill/lathe combo would be perfect for making the conversion parts. (all you reallyl need is the prop spacer, the motor mount can be made with a bandsaw and a drill press. A mill would do a nicer job though.)
The conversion is really easy. A straight pipe would be perfect for the exhaust.

Here is my attempt to kind of blend in the Briggs with the dummy engine. This will be the last photo until I'm ready to fly as I'm probably going off thread at this point.
