Default Lightest blower in the world

I was in Farm & Fleet (Hardware supply store) the other day and found a featherlite blower that was suppose to be the lightest in the world??? I think it was a 21CC engine. At 69 bucks would this be a good base to start. I believe it was the green weed eater brand. Anyone bought one of these.

These come out pretty light, but are low on power in stock form. If you are willing to get into porting one, then it becomes a more attractive prospect.

Not a problem, just wondering who makes the engine and if it's an easier conversion. Thanks for the reply.

they are made by poulan, not a hard cunversion, if staying with magneto ignition, it's not the prettiest thing as you have to leave parts of the fan schroud and cut off the rest, if going to electric ignition you can cut off the whole fan schroud and it looks more like a glow engine. I think the blowers have the long crankshaft, so the prop adapter is more of a spacer than short shaft engines...

Thankyou, At $70 I might give it a try for a small gas application. The long shaft is a pane.

The long shaft is no problem. It can go through your prop adapter instead of the prop adapter threading on. Besides, they are not as hard as you think and can be sawed off and rethreaded if necessary.

You right-I just finished a ryobi 31 long shaft, cut the crank and threaded it. Hardness of crank is like 1 or 2 C. I'll post a picture in a day or two of my first ever conversion. Lots of fun, just don't know what to put it on. Probably just run it on a stand and set it aside and start another.
