eric r

how fast does that twin delta go?

Anyone here fly fast large scale planes?

My h-9 150 size mustang was clocked at 134mph. Is this enough for me to join the speed freaks club?
It uses DA-50R 50cc engine with APC 18x12 prop spinning at 8700rpm static.

Evan,
I don't know who got the twin dust.Dave the builder sent it.
RedZ06,
The twin dust wasn't as fast as the single you saw with a jett 50.It was a fully sheeted clipped wing.Faster than the F-15,but not the bandit. Also,my latest is a DL cyclone with AMT 180(mercury),and it hauls the mail.Post pics when I can.Dave is gonna make me a new single dust for terrorizing the "experts"who sit around, tell everyone else what to do,and never fly. When I crank up a dust or a jet, they usually hide under the pavillion.

Bob,

The wife left 5 years ago...I got the house AND the dog. I had a counter top made to cover the kitchen Island's original top so I could build and repair planes under the halogen track lights with damage to the counter top. Great work place hs all the amenities.... fridge with cold drinks, and pantry with snacks, phone to order pizza, and two GIRLFRIENDS to make breakfast. [sm=bananahead.gif]

One woman is way more than enough for me. The last thing I need is two that I can't keep happy[sm=bananahead.gif]. All my plane stuff is impounded to the lower level. I like it that way too. [8D]

GP F-4 has a JETT 1.20 on it

Canard-A-Roo YEP the canards work... mixed to the elevator input. Flys much better since the modification.
NO more ROO- Hop on landings,
NO more "tuck" or dropping the nose when turning,
less reflex on the elevons so the "aileron" is more sensitive

Several Deltas have been mod with canards to improve flight in fact Composite-ARF released the Rookie II it has a longer nose and Canards.

After flying my Roo my buddy wanted to put a set on his rookie, which we have done. we got a set of canards from the Comp-ARF and installed them on his Rookie.. .pix below are the Rookie 1.5

Hey Razor, these pics go with the vids above. We are moving to a 3 engine set-up over one. Revver 41.5's idea[sm=bananahead.gif]

I agree C4F. This is actually an experiment vehicle for another project. I have spoke w/several rocket guys about it and got a decent go-ahead. With the single engine we have well over 20 event free runs so I know the car is safely going to run straight. Also the burn with a B engine only lasts about 10'. Its not like I am going to expose anyone to ebola or anything.[X(]

VICE,

years ago we took 1/24 promo cars ( solid steel axels and hard tires ) fit rocket engine mount to it and had drag races at the old grade school...

some would go straight, some spinout, a few bounced and cartwheeled

NOW LOOK IN eBARF and see what some of those are worth today YIKES!!!
