I see, is that bell cranked the other end up to the T tail or snaked curved?
Do you silcone your servo in or mount with screw using adaptor on servo?

I guess that method would keep the cg forward a bit too...I find I have to stuff half the battery under the ESC in the front to maintain proper CG, with my elevator servo being in the back.

Evan, thank you for the good info. Question, regarding the Cyclone, where can I find information on it? Dive or no dive, 229 mph is stinkin FAST! Yes, unless one can reduce drag a lot, the Demon and Dust designs are probably limited to 140-160 on electric power unless one can shoe-horn in a lot of batteries and a big motor and esc.
Regarding full power for the entire flight (electric powered that is) at speeds of say 150+ (mph) it is just hard for elec to compete with gas/glow. With the gas/glow, larger tank = longer flight. With elec if you are running at 20C (20 x capacity discharge rate) 3 minutes (approx) and your done. At 30C expect a 2 minute flight (or slightly less). Fly at 40C and your done in about 1.5 minutes. So.....the lower your discharge rate the longer you can fly at a SLOWER speed......urghhhh!!!!! All this being said, electric has improved a lot in the last 5 years! Looking forward to the next five!

It's a good plane. Built in the U.S., maybe not as finished as the euro planes but comes with the wing servos prebuilt in the wings and flys very well. He'll also do about any color scheme you want.

I agree with combatpig, I would recomend a neu 1115 1.5 y motor on 5s 3200 30 to 40c lipos, a castle Ice 75 amp controller and an apc 5.5 x 5.5 prop. This setup pulls only 55 to 60 amps does close to 200 in an f5d plane and should do close to 170 in a demon. Proper airflow over the motor and controller is all thats needed for cooling. This is what I would use.

There is so much difference between a F5D and a Dust or Demon it's not funny. Look at it the other way and would you recommend a Dust set up on a F5D? A good Dust set up would be a .50 with a 8x8 prop. Totally out of place on a F5D...
A 1115 and 5.5x5.5 would probably not get a Dust in the air and if it did it wouldn't be over 100. A Dust would need a 600 size motor, in fact a 600 Helo motor and a 8x7 would be a good start, and fairly cheap.
And a 5.5x5.5 on a 1115 and 5S is no where near 200, maybe 150-160.

I don't know anything about electric setups, but a Demon / Dust can hit 200 mph on glow power.
This leads me to believe that there must be an electric setup that will do more.
Imagine how much less cowling there is to deal with, pipes hanging out, etc..

Too bad, it's rare to see you fly her again on video Evan.!
