In simple language: do not send rcaiir any money. You will never receice anything.
Wow, okay, thank you for the heads up! Given the level of activity on the thread it seemed this was a popular option but, admittedly, I had yet to dig as deep in this thread as I should have.

I take it you are interested in classic pattern models?

It was a passion of mine when I started in the hobby in the late 1970's and has been ever since. Although I'm actually in the process of getting out of the hobby, this is still an area that has a soft spot in my heart. I actually had an original version of the Midwest Mach 1 which I unfortunately never finished and eventually sold but I still have a brand-new set of Rhom Air tri-gear retracts that i intended to use in the Mach 1.

Got it. The Mach 1 was the first pattern plane that I flew. It was actually my father’s, powered with a ST 60X and had Kraft retracts. I don’t know anyone that is doing a reproduction kit though. The plans are available on Outerzone and cutting cores is not a big deal. The canopy would be the difficult thing. I currently fly pattern with a model of my own design. Back when I was flying the Mach 1 I would have never dreamed how pattern models would have evolved.
