I LIED !! Not intentional but I actually have something other than 1000's of cad plans. I have an OLD Royal ME109 Original Kit. I intend to Keep the plans, selfish yes but they sentimental value i know it sounds silly. I will off the whole kit with plan copy, then copies of the plans. Pm me or email me. I know this is technically not a beginer item, but it could be for a first foray into low wing. thanks, kevin

I have 4 very small electric motors from one of those toy store type r/c multi props. I can't tell the size, but i suppose they would work well if some one need one. they produce a fair amount of air from a tiny battery pack, a skilled person could certainly do somethin with them if interested. P.S. I now take back EVERYTHING I said about not having much to offer, you dont know what you have laying around until someone needs it.........

I have the "One Week To Solo" video which was given to me by another fine member of this site.
I am now done with it andwould like to pass it on.
Send me a PM and tell me why you need it.
This video helped me to understand the basics of flying.

keepiru1,

I have not heard from him in a few weeks now. I was emailed a link for the beta setup and it looked good but it was not connected to the database so it was somewhat limited.

There is probably some sort of issue combining it with RCU's database. I really could not say since I am not a DB administrator and don't want to be. [:'(]

Okay, looks like the ME109 kit may be gone, going to make many copies of the plans so they're still going to be avail, still have 4 small electric motors, and the multitudes of plans on cd.

Now, for me, anyone with a 4 channel radio I would be very interested. Lost one stick on my old airtronics yesterday, and with the electrical tape time to retire her. Hard to fly with half a trasmitter.
I dont care if it's duct taped and has a coay hanger for an antennae, lol, but serious.

Sorry Keepiru and everyone else. Life stepped in and threw a few wrenches in. It's still on my radar. Hopefully I'll have something up and running soon...

My appologies to all.

I am really broke at the moment and my glow plug ignitor just died. It doesn't work at all, and i have no cash to get another. If anyone has a spare, i dont care how crappy it is i just need one to tide me over until i get some cash to get another, so it might be like a month- 2 months. If you don't feel it's a worthy cause don't worry about it but if someone has an old spare please let me know. Thanks, Matt.

I am a real newbie and don't have much money to spare. I am still in need of a few items to complete my flight box. Being a youth pastor, I don't have much money to contribute to the hobby but would really like to get my flight box complete. I need a glow ignitor, and electric starter. If you can help me out please PM me.

Thanks in advance

hello all. i am in a little trouble and i need some help... my wife has decided that she wants to fly.... and she can actually fly very well for a beginer...... someone at the feild gave her a .40 trainer... it was in really bad shape but she said she wanted to fix it....so i took her to LHS and got her some monokote and some new tires.... it took me a week and a half to get the airframe fixed and put a engine on it and the radio in it....i took her out to fly it and it did pretty well despite the age and condition of the plane....well here is where the trouble starts..... i noticed that she was having to correct the flight so much she almost over corrected several times so i flew it and found that the controls were way to sensitive....... well being a new pilot myself i did not want to adjust the dual rates myself for fear i would make it worse... i was waiting on my instructor to come out to the feild so he could look at it for me when another guy asked about the plane and wy we quit flying it... i told him the problem and he offerd his help to mess with the radio...he is a very good pilot so i let him set it for easier flight {oops}.......well i started it up and taxied around a bit..... it all looked good so i took it off and holy sh** it was way messed up... i barley touched it and it rolled over on its back and slammed into the ground at full speed

well i guess he didnt adjust it the right way huh? i feel really bad and she cried..... broke my heart

here is my delima i spent all extra funds to get this plane ready so she could fly it.... the wing did not even get a scratch but the fuse is a total loss..............i would never beg for nothin but i really need a new fuse for the wing i have so she can have her own to fly... i tried to let her fly mine but she said she didnt want to because she wanted to fly her own plane

so if anyone has a .40 sized trainer that they dont need i will sure take it off your hands or even just the fuse

every one at the feild said it was a pt 40 but i cant be for sure... i can cover the shipping and maybe a little more if someone can help me out

i have a old tower hobbies power panel with the igniter that plugs into it that i will prepay it forward with if someone needs it

let me know if any of you can help me..................................thanks

Folks,

One of our longtime members recently suffered a great loss. His name is J3FAN and was a huge contributor to this particular thread and many many others way too numerous to mention.

Please take a look at the following link.

OK everyone. I think it's time I update you as to whats been going on with this thread and present some numbers to you.

As of today. this thread has provided the following. Most of it was never made public since this kind of thing was to be handled privately between the two parties involved and with some very minor exceptions it has worked wonderfully. he munbers below are by no means accurate but most likely higher

At this time this thread has given away 16 complete trainers that included everything right dwn to the transmitter and fuel

Approx 40 engines have changed hands

21 radios with receivers and servos

Countless hours from members offering to help train, build repair and anything else that have followed through

$375.00 in donations.

Countless props (I personally have shipped roughly 50 props of all makes and sizes up to 13 inch)

I cannot believe the generosity everyone has shown and I would like to thank you all for keeping this thing going

I have never asked for any knowledge past what I read here and never will. When donations are sent the people that have donated will be contacted and all must agree on the use I propose before anything gets spent.

These rules have never changed and will remain as they are because it works. You are more than welcome to go back through this thread. I have posted the rules in a few places.

Just as a reminder, if you are giving something away via this thread, do your best to get all of the information you can before you make a decision. Sometimes things can turn out to be different than what it seems just by doing a little research.

The only real rule of this thread has always been this:

If you receive something from this thread then you are asked to Pay it Forward in any way you can in the hobby. It can be as simple as you want or as involved as you want. That is completely up to you but in the spirit of the thread please do something.

Thanks...

Bill,
I never had any takers on the $100.00 gift certicate.
Is it possible I could just send you a postal money order, and let you distribute it as you see fit?
I'll be on vacation for a few weeks,so don't spend it yet
This is something I want to do .
