Ok guys, I'm going to step in here for a second as there seems to be some people taking issues here with this thread. Littlecrankshaf's original post was very clear about what he wanted to discuss
I have included his ENTIRE original post because some people seem to want to selectively quote his post, and his intentions. I have highlighted the pertinent parts of his post. It is very clear that he wants to get into a discussion with other members in order to find out WHAT the general AMA public knows on this subject. Yes, he could call AMA to get a definitive answer to his question. However that is not his goal here, he wants to find out how many people in the AMA know the answer. This is an entirely different issue than simply trying to find out the answer to how much is allotted (although I have a suspicion that he already knows what that amount is).
Because of that actions of a few here I'm going to have to step in. If you want to answer "call the AMA" or you want to argue about his motives here then I would suggest that you refrain from posting here, as any more posts along those lines will be removed. However, if you would like to discuss the issue as laid out by the original poster than by all means you are welcome to join in. But the "troll" accusations will stop now.
Thanks for your cooperation.

A posting member of another AMA forum site stated that $17,000 is allocated for all (collectively speaking) of the VPs and their respective AVPs, yet another responder, that is actually running for Dist X, seemed to indicate $17.000 per each VP and their AVPs. The discrepancy has gone unanswered...Looked through AMA's website and couldn't find the info...
Oh BTW...it really should go without saying... but this is a topic for discussion, so the usual “call AMA” cry is misplaced here...the intent is for discussion of what the more knowledgeable here know so we can all learn...not just for someone making a call...so, what do you guys know? Anyone???

Tounderstand his/your intent correctly then .................
He/you do not want the answer to the question but only want discussion about what the answer might be?Are we looking for someone in particular (one such person that he flushed out gave him an answer and is taking a browbeating for it).
Can we take a look ata part of your bolded text?"intent is for discussion of what the more knowledgeable here know so we can all learn...not just for someone making a call." Could that be taken as; "Intent isfor discussion ofwhat themore knowledgeable here know so we can all learn....not just for gettingthe facts."
I reallydon't get how this can be construedin any way other than for what you have, disturbingly, come to his defense. Feel free to zap this post as i realize, and readily admit, that it is in violation of the LCS Protection Directive.

K-Bob,
I am not coming to his defense in any way. I am simply keeping the discussion on the track as his original question was asked. He wants to know HOW MANY people know the answer is, not what the amount is. While his original post might have stated that a bit clearer, it did however make his intentions known as to what he wanted to discuss.
This is not about protecting any one person here. I will (and have) done the same for many others here on this forum. If there are people here that don't want to discuss the issue at hand that is fine, but to attack him simply because they don't want to discuss it is out of line and is not allowed here on RCU. This applies to everyone on RCU, regardless of what they are discussing.

1- I know the answer.
2- I do not know the answer.
Cool on the second paragraph. I'll bug out and let the thread get back on track.

Thanks Wobbly, but as was made clear this thread was not actually about getting an answer. It was about discussing who might know what about the answer. Actual information was never the point.
But still good to know. Thanks.

He/you do not want the answer to the question but only want discussion about what the answer might be? Are we looking for someone in particular (one such person that he flushed out gave him an answer and is taking a browbeating for it).

I can only image you are referring to Silent Aviator as the one I "flushed out" as you call it...but you are wrong...especially about any browbeating. If you care to, go back and take a look you will see I actually thanked him for his actual and unique insight...
Now, to thank wobblyflight...Thanks go to you wobblyflight for confirming info I had been given earlier...

If you had been given the information before, why didn't you share it with us? Then it wouldn't have looked so much like trolling.

I know the answer because I asked my EVP....................... so Ken does that qualify as a valid response the the question?
What purpose did that serve?
Anybody else know the answer? don't tell........ just respond that you know. Any more tuff questions?

I'm having a tuff time understanding the reasoning behind this thread. You ask a queston, not wanting an answer. You get an unwanted answer, but it's not confirmed. You get another unwanted answer and you accept it as confirmation. Your original question was wanting to know how much each member of the EC got for an expense account. And suggestions that calling the people who would actually know how much are deemed inappropriate for this discussion by both you and Admin. I'm still having a tuff time...

I'm wondering if littlecrankshaf was trying to probe into the masses and see how many folks knew the answer. I didnot. His post did wake me from my RC fantisy slumber and made me think that i should learn alittle more about the AMA. Hmmm...paying money to an orgaization that I don't know much about. I never was very smart.
Thanks littlecrankshaf.

While you are wondering, how about wondering about the real reason behind the OPs question in the first place. The information was readily available for the asking. Not tuff to get. Or if he already knew but needed ''confirmation'' that also was not tuff to get as has been demonstrated.

I have payed my ama for 35 years now and i have never realy asked where my money has been spent on. I fly at a club and other ama fun flys and have had a great time at them all. I pay 40 dollars a month for my garbage and i cant figure out what all the money goes for there either . I think you should stop worring abought it and start fly more or if it realy bothers you stop paying it and and go fly in a park some where. If some one gets to go to a big fly in some where on my 40 or 50 bucks ,good for them and i hope they take pictures and put them in a my ama magizine i get ,so i can see what other modelers are doing . I cant stand people who just want to get some big shi# sturred up to make them selfs look like they have caught some kind of stealing going on . Go build a plane or fly or maybe mow you lawn . If you need 40 bucks back just pm me and i will give it to you, just promice that you will never sighn up for it again this is the best way to better my hobby. Do you even have a ama card or you just asking for others .lAnd no i dont know any one working for ama and i was a carpenter for 30 years so now what . joe

Seems while this is your first post to the RCU AMA "enlightenment" forum you seem to have it pretty well pegged. Just be careful where you step.

It was clear to a lot of us. What part of " What does each member (position) of the EC get for an expense account? do you not understand. The question was answered and yet the discussion continues. Or was the intent of the question to continue to stir the cesspool regardless of the value?
I have to assume you get a bounty for each post opposing a bottom feeder you can zap, but being unable to deactivate my account it will give you something to do.
