Default Using Throttle Delay for other function

I have a 10C radio with a R617FS RX, I am interested in using a retract Servo (Spectrum A7000 Retract Servo) that can be slowed down and want to assign it to the Throttle Channel so I can use the Throttle Delay or Slow Servo function; I have read the instructions on the Futaba Web site how to do this, the instructions indicate that you assign Throttle Function to another Channel namely Aux Channel #8; however, the R617FS RX does not have 8 Channels only 7 and I am using all 7 with the Battery plugged into 7, can I just swap the Throttle(#3) and Gear channel (#5) around to accomplish this, substitute Channel #5 for #8 in the Instructions given?

Thanks, Doug.

Use any unused channel as the slave to the mix. You can use channel #7, even when it has the battery in it, by using a "Y" harness....or just plug the battery into a different, unused channel. Works fine.

Bax,

Appreciate the reply, I was trying to swap Channel #3(Throttle) with Channel #5(Gear) so I could use the Servo Slow Function and I found out that it can't be done like that; you have to use an unused Channel, like you said, and since I was using all the Channels I used a 'Y' on #7 with the battery and it works fine like you suggested; However, how do you get the Throttle Kill function to work on Channel #7?

Again, thanks for your help. Doug.

You can't. On the 10C, the Throttle Kill function is hard-wired (so to speak) to channel #3, which is normally the throttle channel.

Another quick question with this set up; to recall, I'm using the 7 Channel R617FS Receiver and all Channels are used; I have placed Throttle(Channel#3) onto Channel#7; and put my Retracts(Channel#5) on to Channel#3; with this done now leaves Channel#5 open, can I plug the Battery into this channel, I am trying to avoid using a 'Y' on Channel#7 for both Throttle and Battery.

Thanks, Doug.

You sure can, you can plug the battery into any open channel on the receiver that you like.
