Default 18SZ version 3.0 software update bug

I have recently updated the software in my Futaba 18SZ to version 3.0. All of the new features are working correctly. However a bug seems to have been introduced with the new update. In 7 channel FASST mode the throttle failsafe position setting box has disappeared. In the previous version of software a position setting box would appear when I turned on throttle failsafe. Please advise how I can set the throttle failsafe in version 3.0 software version.

Thanks,
Ian

Default

Hi - I have confirmed this and have forwarded it to the folks in Champaign. They will alert Futaba Japan.

Default Temporay fix for bug

Bill,

Thanks for the reply.

I have found a work around for setting the throttle failsafe position setting, until the bug is corrected:-

1) Set up the model configuration in 7 channel FASST mode, as normal, except throttle failsafe.
2) Switch the FASST MULTI mode and set the throttle failsafe position.
3) Switch back to 7 channel FASST mode and test the throttle failsafe operation with the model.

The position set in MULTI mode seems to remain, when the transmitter is switched back to 7 channel mode and works with the R617 receiver.

Regards,
Ian

Cool. I'll pass that along as well. No word back from Japan yet. Thanks for the feedback.

Default Software fault corrected in version 3.1

Bill,

Thanks for getting Futaba to correct the software bug so quickly. I downloaded version 3.1 today and the fault has gone.

Regards,
Ian
