Thanks Trackracer. You may be right about a conversion, but I'm not seeing anyway to connect a battery. I was able to remove the nut from the crankshaft, but the cover wouldn't budge.. Then I tried a gear puller, but it didn't fit very well. I'll keep trying and hoping someone else may have had some experience with this engine.
Thanks

One of the very best RC engines ever...
3.7 or 4.2 Sachs Dolmar chainsaw conversion...
Look on the base of the cylinder...a 4.2 will have a 49ZN case into it, a 3.7 will have 47 ZN..
It will outrun and outlast any Chinese engine ever made...Maybe not in WOT rpm, but any other category.,.
1000 hours cutting down trees is normal for these....In the woods...Using whatever oil the lumbejacks had on hand...

The Sachs 114 used a 45mm cylinder . I seem to remember it was also a 3.2 or possibly 3.3 but not as powerful as the newer 44mm 3.2 52cc engines.
You might find some ignition points behind that flywheel when you get it off. 🤔

Did Sachs make a 100cc single cylinder engine for R/C? I bought an airplane that the seller said had a sachs 100cc in it. The builder marked 100cc on the engine that you can view inside the cowl on a 91" TBM Zero. Somebody said it's probably a sachs but not sure. Did anyone else make a 100cc single for R/C? I need to pull the cowl off to look at the engine. just haven't had time.

Several engine manufacturers used the Sachs Dolmar cylinders and cranks
Most of them produced 2.4 , 3.2 , 4.2 and 5.8 engines . The 5.8 being 95cc.
If I recall correctly the most common 100cc single cylider was made by Quadra
