I have a 52 gas engine from HK (1st mistake) that the shaft that holds the prop on was drilled off-centered. I cannot get any place with HK. What would that part be called. On the prop end it has a 10mm x 1.5 socket head bolt holding the prop on. The other end is bolted to the crankcase by 3 bolts. The unit itself is about 2 inches long. I don't know what it is called and don't know where I might buy one. Like I said, after many emails to HK it looks like I am going to end up with a paper weight that looks like a gas engine. Thanks in advance for any help.

The prop bolt can be removed and replaced with another bolt. Check out the prop bolts at TruTurn.

Hummm! went to truturn but could not find prop bolts. The part I have circled is the part I need. Drilled off centered and causes the prop to wobble.

I have been around most all the China made RC engines and know of no one who sells parts for that engine.
Your best bet is to send it back and see if they will replace it.

I'm afraid to send it back. I will probably never see anything again. I have been in contact with them about 20 times and each time their demands are something different. They are very good at stalling and getting the customer Pi**** off so they will forget it. I at least have a conversation piece for a paper weight[>:][>:][>:]

Dealing with HK has it good points and its bad points, Get a good product you have done well, Get a bad product and you are out of luck.
Part of the gamble you take dealing with them.
You could send the whole engine to Ralph and he might be able to mill it straight.

My impression was that Airplanes400 was simply trying to bring a little humor to a situation that has probably been solved. I doubt that anyone, including Irish, was offended. A little humor when a guy is totally frustrated can be a good thing.

I pay for 3W, BME & DA. Long term cost is much less than the "cheaper" options, power is higher and support is great here.

“Are you sure that the crank spacer is bad?â€
If you had a prop strike that would of very likely of twisted the crankshaft and this is very typical of any engines that have a crank that is pressed together. The good news is; is that it can be straighten very easily. You will need to check the crank with a dial indicator.
