     Pete,

here is pics of modifying fire wall.it turned out pretty good..i did take pipe apart and silicone it and locktited the nut on end and mushroomed  the end a little on it also..that keeps nut from backing all the way off it does come loose..   had to put two screws in the bottom where i split it but it looks good...i like it.

Thoughts on an Ultrasport .60 with the 10GX?

... I think I'm wishing Evolution had a 15cc gasser here :-)

Thanks...Brian

It won't work on a Ultrasport .60 plane. The plane is simply too large and too heavy for a .45 size glow engine replacement.
The Evo 10cc has engine is really a small crankcase engine that is basically a bored out .45 engine. The engine makes a good replacement for .45 to .50 size glow engines.

Hi Brian,

Pete described that back on page 36, post 900. I think that will answer your question pretty well.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Like I said... I need a 15cc evolution gasser... hint hint *coughcough* *grin*.

20 cc dle's would be too much for the plane I think... it originally was designed for a .60-.65 2 stroke.

We hear you loud and clear ... remember there is still one major trade show left in this spring season. You never know what you might find there

too heavy... same issue that I currently have with my .91 4stroke. The ultrasport .60 was a plane that was designed for a .60 and flies very well on a .60... you put a bigger engine in it and it gets nose heavy fast. A .60 sized engine weighs around 17oz... the rcg 15cc is spec'd at 27oz, however every forum I've read has it pegged at either 38oz or 42 oz with ignition and battery. That is over double the weight.... I currently have a .91 4stroke in it and have close to 2 ounces in the tail to counterbalance that ... I don't want to go further down that route. I'm sure it runs well, but its the wrong engine for this application.

if they make a 15cc in the same vein as a 10gx that would mean a lightweight 15cc engine that could possibly fit this bird... my other option really is the saito fg-100, but that has the same problem as the .91 surpass currently in it.
