Take the screw out that holds the choke plate on. Then remove the choke plate. You can now pull the rod out that actuate the plate. There is a ball and sping that mkaes the choke lock into place. Romove the ball and spring and then reassemble without the ball and spring. I hope that helps

No need to remove the lock when using a servo to operate it. I've got mine hooked to a Tower TS69 BB servo(42 oz) using the small wheel that comes with them. No problem. Can't remember if I used a 2-56 or 4-40 rod with ball links on both ends.

Ken, watch for side to side play when the spring and ball are removed. You might consider clipping a loop or two of the spring to keep it snug. And dont forget a little dab of locktite on the plate screw.
