Default 30.5cc Engine problems

After the last run of my comanche, I pulled down the motor and give a good clean. Now that I have put back together the idle is rough, and as soon as I add any throttle it stalls. I have not touched any of the carb needles. Any ideas?

Thanks

Three options. There's an air leak, the diaphragm is upside down, and the metering needle is not propely installed.

Not sure how far you went "pulling down" your motor to clean it, but just for the heck of it, I would close the low needle (counting the turns so you know where your setting was/is), then remove it and check for debris and clean if necessary. Return to your original setting and try again.

Air leak through the head gasket or carb?

Have gone back and checked Diaphram, metering needle, and replaced head gasket, but still the problem exists.
