Best way to contact him right now is by phone. 928 635 2455 Ralph and his wife frequently have to run down to Phoenix, which works out to be pretty much an all day trip so he may miss the phone when he's out. Leave a message. Doesn't use a cell phone to my knowledge.
I doubt you'll see him here in RCU for some time to come.

edit:
his web page is OK, so is the forum he runs. personal questions should be possible there, respectfully of course.

Actually, you were. Along with a couple of others. It was a Brillelli-DL thing. He's been inside both of them and it doesn't look like either will outlast the other. The man is magic with an engine (something I've seen first hand), and his long history in some high end stuff provided the knowlege and basis for mechanical and machine work superiority . He has issues with people telling him he doesn't know what he's talking about.
There's only 5 or 6 people in the R/C engine industry that I really trust. He's the first one.

Actually I know I was
I was trying to make a funny
Guess my sense of humor sucks!
Sure he has lots of knowledge and I respect that... I just don't like the way he presents it and don't tell me it's impossible when I have it on video
He is also in denial that with a couple small recent changes the B-60 is stronger than the DL and his beloved 62.

I wouldn't worry so much... he will come back.
Him and I have had interesting exchanges in the last year or 2.. it's like a quirky friendship.. butt heads hard.. take a break.. get long.. butt heads a bit more hehe. I am sure we will all miss him in our own little way.

I have to tell ya, the man does go work. I just got my G62 back from him as I sent it to him to check out. I'd been having some problems. Ralph says it's ok and put his stamp of approval on it and I believe him so I'm looking elsewhere for the problem. I trust his judement that much. I've read enough about him for some time on the forums and he is with out a dout the go to guy.

I don't think so, tho he often is. Then again, so am I
I believe he likes both the Brillelli and the DL. I know he thinks higher of the DL than one similar to it.
As for the G-62, a VERY big part of the aggravation with that comes from so many people for so many years telling all how much better their engine was over the 62. Truth be told the 62 was superior to most all of them, and in many cases still is, only suffering some due to a higher weight. He fixed that part once and for all. We still hear that crud about this engine or another being better than the 62. If they are so what? They've had over 20 years to try and make a better engine, and none have the stamina of the 62. Let's not fail to remember that without the 62 the other guys would have never had anything to shoot for, AND they would have had to develop their own designs. It's easy to make an engine when you already have a pattern to copy
The truth is in the race planes. You'll see the Zenoahs, the Aerrows, and the Herbies. So where are all the other "better" engines?
Oh, almost forgot. Mr. Reivers is also one of those 5 or 6 engine people that I always trust.

I for one always liked the way Ralph came on strong and said it like it was. No political correctness out of him!

Comes on strong?? Naw, that's the way it always was in the old days. You said what you had to say and if the other guy didn't like it too bad. Somewhere about 1985 or '90 men in the U.S. decided they preferred wearing silk panties and skirts instead of skivvies and pants. Then everyone got all kissey-kissey with each other. 'Fraid they might hurt someone's "feelings", or not be as well liked as they thought they should be, or sumpthin. Now it's all about a knife in the back instead of a fist in the face[:@]
I suppose I'm in even more trouble now than I was....
