Y'all need to stop crashing these Brillelli's. It take longer to clean and repair a crashed engine than it does to buildup a new one.
Scott shipped out over 12 repairs this week. Thats like the time to make 20 new ones[:@]

Hey guys,
I'm waiting for the weather to break here in Jersey so I can try out my 26ssr in my new KMP Hawker Typhoon. It's weight is 17lbs. I havent heard of anyone trying it in a Heavy Metal Warbird. I have a 3bld spinner for it,now I need to figure what prop to use. How does a 16x8 or even more pitch like a 16x12 sound to you guys?
Here's a couple pics..
Cya,
Frank

Scott,
You really do produce a great running engine. I have my currently turning an APC 17X8, soon to be switched to a Xoar 18x6. I do have one question for you though.
Is there a easy way to replace the stock throttle arm on the carb included with the 26 ssr? I can't get enough resolution below 1/3 throttle.

Didn't I send a throttle arm with? A CNC'd alluminum one? It hoohs to the other sode of the carb. Or a steering arm on that side will work. Some people rotate the carb 180deg to move it to the top and avoid the standoffs.

You did. I didn't realize that was to be used on the throttle valve. I put it on the choke.
I have a couple of blue hitec arms that are pretty much useless for any other purpose. I will drill one out and add a set screw.

I also recall when I was first setting up the motor, the aluminum arm supplied did not fit well on the shaft of the throttle arm. It did fit perfectly on the choke though.
I will check again when I get home from work today.
I do think I will rotate the carb around though. It would be a lot easier to be able to tune the high end if I could do it while it is running (I don't really care about a small hole in the top of the cowl.

We make the arms to fit a standard Walbro shaft. The shaft on that one is smaller. It will still work, but fits loose until the set screw is tightened.

I haven't gotten a reply to my email, so perhaps someone here can answer some of these questions about the 26:
Is there a line drawing available with all the dimensions marked?
What is the size of the prop bolt?
Does the carb have a choke?
Does each engine get run before it is sent out to make sure it actually works?
What is the voltage range used by the ignition module? I’d prefer to use
a NiMH or Nicad.
Can the engine be run without the velocity stack?
I have a Pitts muffler for an SPE 26 and was wondering if it would fit
the Brillelli 26?
What kind of warranty comes with the motor?
I would need to space the engine from the firewall to the back of the prop
at 6.625â€. Can longer standoffs be used with the engine to achieve this?
Does Brillelli stock parts for their engines?
Does a manual come with the engine?

Does anyone know if their is a wraparound muffler for this engine? I wanted to install in a narrow plane but I don't want the whole muffler sticking out. I guess I need to know the distance from the center line of the crank to the outside of the muffler first. Any help would be appreciated.

I just fired mine up today. I got 9,180 RPMs on a 16X8 Topflight right out of the box. Ran very well, but the I could not get the idle down under 3,200. Then I got the needles too wacked out. Ran three tanks through it. So I went back to the suggested starting settings. I will give it another shot later in the week. What should I expect to get for a good idle RPM?

You will need to lean the low some maybe to get the idle lower. It should do in the 2500 range right away. After some fuel is through it, the idle will drop down. They are tight at first and need break in to run at thier best. After a gallon or 2 they will idle lower in the 1800-2000 range without a problem.

Re muffler
The cylinder looks to be a Chung Yang 29, which is a clone of the G26 2 bolt GoPed engine...
Any muffler that fits a G26 should work...

No, no reply to my email, which basically had the same questions I posted. I also haven't gotten the items I ordered on 4/5. Outside of the PayPal email that is the only communication regarding my order that I have had.
