Tim
If I take the engine out of the original box and put it in a USPO flat rate box shipping would be around $40.00 US.
Check with Paul at http://www.gashanger.com/ and see if shipping from him would be better.

Hi Tim
Hi Milton
Just checked the rate fron UK, and you can double it and add a bit before I even start to get close,
at $40.00 that is a good rate don't think you are going to get better than that.
Paul

RE: Area 51 engines
Yes they are rated for six volts but some have failed because some 6 volt batteries will charge up to over seven volts and overload the ignition, CH ignition and Ralph say only to run on 4.8 volts also.
You gain nothing running them on six volts, no hotter spark at all just dump your battery sooner.

RE: Area 51 engines
I just wanted to make sure they could be run on a regulator up to 6v. I would probably run a 5.1v regulator with it.
What does the muffler that it comes with look like?
Thanks, Jim

RE: Area 51 engines
I would like the basic measurements of this to see how it can fit in my EF 88.5" Extra 300.
1) Back most part of of carb to the prop hub (choke butterfly is part that is usually the furthest point back...with choke open).
2) Center of jugg to prop hub.
3) Distance of center of muffler stack to prop hub.
4) how far muffler sticks out from prop hub center (to fit inside cowling).
Are stand off's included? If so what length are they?
Thanks

RE: Area 51 engines
OK here we go
Yes stand offs, muffler and ignition come with the engine
From back of stand offs to front of prop hub 6 1/2"
Stand offs are 2 9/16"
From choke butterfly to front of prop hub 6 1/4"
Center of jug to prop hub 3 1/2"
Distance of center of muffler stack to prop hub. 5 1/4"
how far muffler sticks out from prop hub center 3 3/4"
All dem are within 1/16"
Here are some video of the Extreme Flight Extra that you can see the muffler in the cowl

RE: Area 51 engines
O.K. Milton, I just ordered an area 51 from you a little while ago. I'll see if I can turn some of my Colorado flying buddies onto your engine and get you some more business.
Is an 85cc engine still in the works from you? If so, when might it be available?
Thanks, Jim
