Milton,
I hope you reconsider and stay. One of the factos I consider in buying an particular engine are these forums and the availablity of the distributor to answer questions. I think there are many people who purchase their motors based upon distributors personal response to others questions. It promotes the feeling of actually knowing the quality of suport that is available.
John
On another note, I will be deactivating my account here, Not for the issues that have come up on this post but just tired of being told by one moderator to do things one way and then being told by another to do it another way, just to confusing to me.

Your comments and input to this thread have been of huge value and I bet the Mods you feel frustrated with don't want to see you go any more than we do

RE: Area 51 engines
Milton;
All businesses have the good and rough times. Your always the hero and greatest during the good times, however when times get tight, clients in many cases do not understand when you can not support your product. Keep your lines of communication open, it will get a lot better. I know the quality person you are how you treat your clients. If there is anything I can do, please call me.
Bill

RE: Area 51 engines
Milton (and moderators) - if you're getting some kind of crap for being a vendor supporting your products, answering questions, and trying to take care of your customers, that's bad news. Why not just ask Marc Vigod to straighten out whatever it is, and stay on here? A lot of your loyal customers are here and maybe NOT on that other place.
Milton - if you REALLY decide that you just don't want to hang out here anymore, please email me and let me know where you go so I can hang up my account here, also.

Milton I don't want to see you go, You and this thread is why I bought two 51's from you. There are other good engine's on the market
that I could have chose, But the kind of man you are, Made my mind up with what engine to buy. And Kevin at JC Engine's needs to
open his eye's and see you made his engine what it is in the U.S. . And give you the support you need. Look back at post 832 and 896
they say what I think of you. We need you here on this thread.

RE: Area 51 engines
I'm with the others on this one Milton. I follow these threads a lot and when it comes to the Area 51 engines I haven't seen one bad post about these engines, and that is very rare! I'm not sure how many people would even know about the Area 51 engines if not for these forums.

RE: Area 51 engines
Milton and Moderators,
PLEASE get this misunderstanding settled so that we can continue the discussion on a great line of engines. Had it not been for this forum and the positive comments about the Area51 engines I would not have known about the engine. The engine my friend and I bought from you Milton is a great engine and I would like to see the forum continue with Milton's responses.
If this forum dies out I fear the future of this line of engines may suffer irreparably......don't let this happen people!
Steve

Agree with Bob- contact someone, either one of us mods or RCKen, Nathan, or Marc.

I'm not going to get into the middle of this, but just wanted to update everyone with what Milton shared, as it will not be likely that he will post here since he dropped his account.
It is a sad loss.
It is very possible that he will be hanging out on other forums, I don't know.
BTW no one has to explain anything to me, or even reply.....probably won't get read.

RE: Area 51 engines
Milton hasn't disaapeared off the face oif the earth...!! he is still supporting the JC engine range, he has chosen not to post on couple of forums.
We have had one or two difficulties with parts supply I've been in the same position, but we have now resolved that problem, and things should start moving forward again.
We are expecting delivery of parts and stock this week.
If you have a problem then email him, or phone the support is still there, or check other forums for postings there's plenty out there to be found..!!
Or post on here plenty of people using the JC range and building a wealth of knowledge.

Was called by another moderator about this, and we don't know what is bothering Milton.
Was called by another moderator about this, and we don't know what is bothering Milton.
Around the end of last year, I got a VERY stern e-mail from a moderator telling me that I MUST put my business website and details of what I sell on my signature line. I complied as best as possible (The signature area is pretty restricted on characters).
Since then, I seem to have had a lot of PM's from moderators (including the same one that told me to put the details on my signature) telling me that I can not answer commercial questions on line - such as "Hey steve do you have any stock of - - - at the moment?"
I would not have had the queries if the Signature didn't advertise what I sold - I would have just been "aussiesteve".
Other times, I have had posts that were not derogatory in any way removed for no apparent reason - the only reasons I can think of were that they were in reply to a technical help question on a brand other than what I sell (Such as "Where do I start from with a carb setting?")
I guess it shows how well the advertising works here though - a simple signature line gets so well noticed - shame they are all hidden nowadays anyway
It can be a little confusing as to what we should or shouldn't post and there have been a few e-mails from me go unanswered with regard to having a "specialist area" on the forum.
I can understand the frustrations for sure - I just chose to move forward and use the forum for what I think it is intended - the sharing of information amongst a large group of people with common interests.

In trying to re-read all the Milton Stuff. It seems that there are an accumulation of problems that are hampering him and his business. I feel real bad about this for it appears he is really trying.
I have never communicated with Milton except to praise him for his video on setting the timing.
I wasn't aware of the signature goings on? May have been the icing on the cake?
Something I am aware off in gas engines is that most people try their best to comply with what they are aware off. In actuality, the SIG line should be to everyone's advantage.
I'm always afraid that some are bugged about SIG's or what they say relative to their model engine business and others are not. Naturally everyone should be treated the same.

RE: Area 51 engines
I was one of the people worried when Milton didn't ship my engine or respond for a week or two...turned out he took a vacation. He hadn't received parts anyways.....Milton paid a machine shop out of his own pocket in lieu of warranty parts to get my 102 going again. Pretty damn stand-up guy in my book. T.
