I have had some problems with my DA50. The membranes seemed to be hardened, so I bought a new gasket replacement set from Oregon for this model of walbro carb. This set includes a lot of gaskets, the ones I need and others to be dispossed. But there are two with the same shape made of different materials (the gasket that has to be installed in the oposite side of the pump) There are two, one of them is browm, made of something like plastic. The other seems to be kevlar, or something similar.
The one that cames with my DA is like the brown one, but I have also two MVVS 45 (same carb as DA) that includes a kevlar-like gasket. Does anybody know which is the difference betwee both types? Wich one works better for our pourposses?
Thanks,
Javier

If you are running straight gasoline you can use either membrane. The one that is like plastic film (brown) I believe can be used with nitro as well. I have one like that but it's blue and works with a gas/glow mix. I had problems with a black plastic membrane in a Zama carb when I used it with gas/glow however.

I bought one of these gasket kits too and was puzzled. It didn't seem to be what I had in the original carb. It had a blue plastic/mylar one that was the only one that worked. I didn't use it because I thought it might leak fuel. It didn't look a like a very good sealing gasket IMO.

Thaks ..
I put the yellow one and tested it yesterday. It worked nicely. The ones I got looks like they were exactly the original ones.

Your Welcome....had to check with Walbro when our state required all gasoline to be 10 % enthenal, and all my engines started to act funny.

Anyone know what the clear gasket for? I had one that was clear film. Tried it, leaked pulled and replaced with black rubber one.
This has been confusing to say the least.

Use the either the brown or the blue fuel pump diaphram for our uses. Either one of them will outlast the rubber regulator diaphram, which will last anywhere from 3 months to 3 years depending on your local source of fuel and how you store your engine.
