I have a CRRC 26cc and to break it in I used a 4.8v 600 mah battery. I've seen where people say to use at least 2000mah battery, It ran fine when the battery was at full charge. Today I started it and ran it for about a minute and it bogged down and died, and would not restart. I'm guessing its the battery. I do have two 2300mah batteries on the way. would it be best to wait tell they get here to take it up for its first flight?

Well if it's your battery I would guess that it's bad. I would check the battery voltage.
On most single ignitions (outside of the G-20) you can get upwards of 2 hours flying time with a 1400 battery. As your battery gets low the engine will start to break up so you still have time to land, they generally don't just shut off unless the battery looses a cell or has a huge drop off point.

A 600 mah battery should give you about 4 - 5, 10-12 min. flights if it's a good battery. I recommend 4.8v, 1200 mah or bigger to to prevent having to recharge during a day of flying. The more RPM you are running during your flying, the more battery you will use.

Hey jedijody I now have a Zinger 17-8 om it and it tops out around 6500 to 6700 and I turned it down to 6400 to 6450 and I get a got idle around 2400 and a rough idle any lower, it starts to vibrate a lot under that. Does this sound ok?

Uh, no it doesn't. For a new engine you should be in the mid 7000's with that prop and idle should be reliable at about 2000. It sounds like it may be out of tune.

Yea, I thought that was low. I thought I had it as close as I could get it. I put my MAS K serious back on and got 9400 out of it. I may just run it for now.

I have tested the RCexl batteries, and they worked OK down to about 3.5V, which is a 4-cell pack completely depleted.
