Hi Jim !! Should be ok but make sure there's no chance of gas dripping or spilling near the hot water heater or furnace or anything like that. I make sure the gas tank is empty in the tank before I bring a gas plane in my basement !!
See ya' at the field soon, I hope !!
Thanks, John

Empty the tank, plug the vent, close the throttle and choke, and make a balsa plug for the exhaust. If vapors have no way to exit the fuel system and engine there's little chance of an odor.

Those nitro guys are just jealous and looking for an excuse to bash something they don't have....

Seriously tho, I see posts occasionally from guys reporting issues with gas smell and I tend to think most are overblown. I run mine dry at the end of each day and keep them in the house with no issues. If they're going to be "out of service" for some time then I go ahead and put a plug in the vent line but if you do that make sure you remember to remove it.

Now I don't have a wife to complain about it, but some guys report that is the problem; she can smell it. Women do have a more sensitive nose but in a lot of cases I suspect she just wants 'em out of "her" house....
