The threads are 5mm and a 10-32 SAE screw will thread right in
The problem is that 5 mm X .8 is about .020'' bigger than the 10-32 and the fit is sloppy and dangerous
You should get a 5mm X .8 screw for a good fit

So the bolt that comes with that spinner I will have to change it to be a 5mm x .8 screw right?

Yes.
you can go ahead and trial fit your spinner and use the 10-32 bolt for the initial adjustments but before you run the engine, you need to get a 5 mm screw for the spinner. In my experience the head of the 5mm screw will fit the socket in the nose of your spinner just fine.
I went to the hardware up the street and got my 5 mm Allen head screws

Same as I did with the mounting screws I bought 4 new since the ones that came with the engine where to short for my firewall, so I had to purchase 4 new longer bolts.
Thank you again w8ye

The register is there and its a snug fit, I tried3 of themon 6 different front halves, all fit perfect. No roll pin in the conversion kits but there is a pin in the fully assembled engines. I'll put up a couple pictures of the kits tomorrow.

What is the cost of the conversion kit.

RE: NEW DLE30!
Friendly tip for fellow HOBBYISTS, owners DLE30
I have original configuration and I took spark plug cap apart and double taped, with electrical tape, the insulator jacket that is inside of the metal cap and now my DLE30 idles with the best engines out there and seems to flip start even easier than before

RE: NEW DLE30!
Sweet, can't wait for my kit to come in the mail. BTW, anyone know what retailers carry the Bel-Ray HR1 oil....tried the auto stores with no luck, hobby store had none either. Trying to find some in my local area. Not really finding that much of it online either. I'll take any help I can get.

RE: NEW DLE30!
I bought my bel ray oil in a local motorcycle shop that sells a lot of specialty oils.. Also got Klotz with 20% castor oil for my glow engines very cheap..
Question a guy in my flying field uses Red Line oil on his DA 150.
What's the difference between those oils? He said that one would make my engine run cooler and last longer? Is it true?

RE: NEW DLE30!
Both are very good quality oils and if you mix them at 40:1 ratio and your engine is properly tuned it's more than likely you won't notice a significant difference between them. Even though I have used both as to wether one will make your engine run cooler than the other I have no hard evidence, but my engines seem to run best on Red Line.

RE: NEW DLE30!
I was breaking in a DLE-55 and OS GT-55 on B&S dead dino oil in Mobil 87 octane winter gas (from December 09). Once I had a couple of gallons through them, I switchedto the Stihl syn at 50:1 and I saw zero RPM gain or loss. However, the piston, ring and exhaust port are definitely cleaner.

RE: NEW DLE30!
I got my DLE30 back on the test stand & start it up 2-3 times every day . I found the next day it always took 10-11 hand flips to start. As a test I flooded it out with choke. Next day only 4-5 flips to start it Also found out it would start 4 hour later after flooding it out on idle without no choke at all. Kindaexperimentingwhile waiting for the new Rear Induction case to arrive. Capt,n

RE: NEW DLE30!
Captinjohn,
My DLE 30 would only start with the choke partially open. I would close it and flip til it popped, the open the choke about half-way. It would start in a couple of flips. After about a 1 minute warm-up, I could open the choke all the way. Jody said to richen the low needle, which I did. I haven't run it since that adjustment.
I have the choke on a slider on the transmitter and that is how I can set a partial choke setting.

RE: NEW DLE30!
Seems most of my gas engines (even non-RC engines) like to run for 30 seconds or so before turning choke off. A couple of RCGF engines I have like even a little more warm up time before they are good to go. Same idea as older cars, the choke would not go full off until the manifold temp was up.

RE: NEW DLE30!
most of the guys in our club that are flying the bigger gassers are using stihl 50-1 with good results. i am now running stihl at 50/1 in my dle-55 and dle-30 after break-in. too early to tell the outcome yet,but seem to be good at the present time. DON
