No no, its not locked up. I just got nervous when it killed in the air because I had been leaning the H needle. I just assumed that leaning it to much would lock the engine up. I guess I over reacted. Its turning over fine, definately not locked up. I had leaned the low end some, maybe I need to bring it back where it was.

<hr />If you was cruizing when it quit (fairly high throttle) the idle setting should not effect the high throttle. To lean on HI speed needle would. Is my guess....but I am kinda krazy today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Capt,n

The DLE 30 will match the OS 160 without a worry. I`ve converted 2 planes of my own and convinced others who now enjoy the many benefits[8D]

I sure hope GreatPlains has the sense to keep producing Carl Golberg kits. Everyone I talk to loved Car G. kits & AFR. airplanes. The Ulimate is one of the best ever made....period. Capt,n

times are tough and our hobby is no exception sadly.as for kits ....they have been in decline along time and thats sad as well .many fliers want to just fly hence arf's came along and filled the void.I had a ultra stick from hanger 9 and learned they d/c'ed it along with some supposedly other popular giant planes. It seems every issue of model magazines releases new planes mostly electrics and arf's.I agree that the kits should be continued but if nobody is buying them it will cease.I fly a blend of both.I love building as much as flying and tend to build scale from plans and arf's just to kick ass around for fun.

and scrtach building or from a kit isnt cheap either.I looked at coverite fabric .ouch! dope super ouch..but I love the hobby so I buy it and am happy to be able to do it and continue flying.

The Carl Goldberg Ultimate kit was discontinued. I purchased one from a fellow RCU member.

Just curious!! Has anyone switched the Tillitson carb supplied with the DLE30 for a Walbro? If so what model Walbro did you use? No I'm not looking to switch - just curious. Love the Walbro!!!

My carb on the V2, rear intake version works as good as any Walbro I have ever owned. Looks exactly like any WT series Walbro and I'm sure most of the parts would interchange with a real Walbro. Can't see a need to change out something that works great as is.

I agree - was just checking!! Thanks.
Next question - I saw a "How To" article on the web about replacing the metal boot on a Rcex ignition but now can't locate it. It may have been on the CH Electronics site which is closed at the moment. Does anyone know where this article might be?
