The second time I used mine the contacts welded closed. I cleaned them, they lasted about 5 times after that. For $225 I would think they could do better.

My guess is that it won't slip, in my case the motor was bad in my old torq master, I have a new sullivan however it wouldn't turn it over, I just took my grinder cut the shaft of the old starter and put it in the chuck,
I have tried to start a ST 90 with the drill, it couldn't turn it fast enough, another thing to remeber when you try you need to but the drill in reverse to get it to spin the correct direction

I don't know where you bought yours. Mine cost $24.95.
