I will give that a try before ordering the reed. Worth a shot. The engine really runs fine once you get it to draw fuel.

the evo 20cc gasoline motor is a total joke....dont even bother waist of time and money....no hi rpm...took it off and put back in the box!!!now will have to sell cheap and take a hit!!!!!!!!

Are you referring to the Evolution 20GX? If so, and you have adjusted the LS needle as typically done for a gas engine to arrive at a stumble point and then backed off slightly, then that it likely the reason for low rpms. The LS needle when adjusted too lean on that carb design, will limit/reduce rpms.
