There is a local club doing .25 size pylon racing. Limited to box stock, .25, stock muffler, no racing engines. Is the .25FX going to be the choice? And now for the fun part...Anything goes for the plane, as long as it can idle on the run-way, and take off by itself. Some are chopping Viper wings down a few inches, some use them stock. I would like some tips on a scratch build, conventional tail plane. I could use my Viper dimensions, and say, reduce them by 20 percent? Or, scale an Ace S400 up some? Wing span around 40-44 inches, root around 8-8.5 inches? Fuse length around 16" Maybe MH22 airfoil? Looking for any tips, or measurement ideas. I'm just guessing on all I've written so far, no real world experience designing what might be a fast plane, so I need help....

It will be quick with a 25. It's a belly lander, so you will need to add landing gear.

I think the Supertoon 20 from Williams RC would be great with a Sport 25.
Model is designed around a racing .21, so a Sport 25 would be a good match for simple racing.

Dwayne,
I have three .25 size racer designs: Tsunami, Miss Ashley, Polen Special II. All have 300 sq. in. wing area. Detail Engineering construction drawings with fuselage cross sections. and foam wing core templetes are available upon request.
I have built and flown two Tsunami's and they are a blast and both are still flying after about a year. The Texas Wings Club in north Fort Worh are building about 8 Tsunami's now, they have .25 size races frequently.
Call me if you are interested, 6070 Wonder Drive, Fort Worth,TX, 817-292-0465, [email protected].
