Thanks Tom. I just accepted an offer on my house, so if the inspection goes well its a done deal... I need to get this plane done ASAP as I don't want to move it in pieces!
Went to my shop this morning and put on the 2nd coat of primer. It came out well but there are a couple of minor areas that I missed, think I will tend to them before I shoot the color.

Congratulation's Vincent!! And the best of luck on the inspection. Although, being your a perfectionist in your hobby, I have no doubt the house is as pristine as the models so luck is not needed.

I hate moving so much I always tell my wife the next time I move will be to go underground. We moved 4 times in the first 10 yrs we were married. We will keep our fingers crossed the sale goes through.

Thanks for the well wishing guys, much appreciated...
Today I spent the morning sanding the areas that needed further attention. Loaded everything in my truck and made the trip to my shop to put on the long awaited color. It was all very exciting...
The color epoxy is unlike the primer in that a 30-40 minute induction period is necessary after parts "A" and "B" are mixed together, so first thing I did was to mix the epoxy together and set it aside. (Note: 7 ounces of color Part "A", and 7 ounces of Catalyst Part "B"was used.) It is important that you do not thin out your epoxy during this induction period, the thinner is added just prior to spraying. I used the time to carefully tape off all the areas that I didn't want to get sprayed. I also blew off all the parts with some shop air and followed that up with a careful wiping using a fresh tack cloth.
With all system go, I filled my spray gun cup and set the air pressure to 24 p.s.i. The paint flowed well from my gun and no surprises were noted, well that is until I sprayed my cowl that is...a small area on one side of the cowl had, yes the dreaded FISH EYES! (Tom, did you send me these? LOL) Luckily the contaminated area was only the cowl. A total of two coats was applied using only 14 ounces of paint. Here are some photos...

Well all you have to do is add some fish lips to the front and you will truely have a one of a kind. LOL I must have missed how you made the whole tailend removable. I hope that holds on when you start all those wild 3D moves.

Brilliant shade of Red. It really pops.
One question on the epoxy paint. Do you know if they have a color chip chart available on request ?
I didn't see anything on there web site for color chips.
It is very difficult to discern colors on a computer monitor.
Again brilliant color .

Box Car stole my line !
Looks good, VJ.
I thought that I had sent those fisheyes to Steve. I guess that I placed the wrong address on the package.

It's going to look very nice Vincent, thats a pretty red, won't be long now.
Good luck with the final on the house, then the fun stuff starts, finding all the stuff you thought you lost.
Regards,
Leroy

Cool!
The red should cover over all the blood and sweat you must have poured into this thing.
Fish eyes on the cowl were caused by a bird strike through the prop, and the viscera have not been cleaned off yet ;-)
I can almost see your hands whirring to get this finished before the move.
Best of luck with that, I have lost count how many houses I have helped move in and out (positive outlook, its good exercise!) of, so I can empathize.
