Default TIGER MOTH 40 (ARF) E conversion

I am not sure if I should have continued from my P51 Post ? Anyway I have now thought about maybe going for a TIGER MOTH 40 (ARF) and converting it to e power.
the specs on the plane are as follows:

Wingspan: 54 in (1375mm)
Wing Area: 899 sq in (58 dm2)
Weight: 6.2 lb (2810g)
Wing Loading: 15.8 oz/sq ft (48.3 g/dm2)
Fuselage Length: 44 in (1122mm)
Requires: 2-stroke .40-.46 cu in (6.5-7.5cc) or 4-stroke .48-.53 cu in (8- 8.5cc) engine, 4-channel radio w/5 servos

I would like to put in the same power system as I was going to use for my P51 D ARF
Maxim N32-13Y brushless motor and controller
MEC 4:1 Superbox gearbox
Power supplied by lithium cells.
will this work well ? Also what is a Tiger Moth capable of doing in the Air as far as crowd pleasers (And crashing does not come to mind)

Howdy!

Was thinking of a Kyosho TM... slow aerobatics seem cool... slow stallturns and low level snaprolls

li-po and a geard motor should be fine, maybe change from a ~10" prop to a 5 or 6" prop for less airspeed and more thrust, as a TM flies slower then a stang

Check out the review on the MaxCim web site, or in the MAAC magazine for a Kyosho Moth conversion.

Westridge,

That .40-size Kyosho Tiger Moth is a beauty!

Your power system will work fine on it. I use several MaxCim-powered planes on Lithium cells. Great flight duration and power!

Good luck!
